Hey, I was trying to give my Variant Human the Heavy Armor Master feat and noticed that the feat, along with the few others, had disappeared. Not sure if anyone else has encountered this issue but quite a few options are missing. If this is just a bug than whatever, I'm sure it'll get fixed soon enough, but I wanted to know if this is a widespread issue or just a personal one.
You may also purchase individual races, subclasses, feats & magic items from the marketplace - should you later wish to purchase the sourcebook that they came from, any such individual purchases are fully discounted from the price of the sourcebook.
You are also welcome to create your own content using the D&D Beyond homebrew tools.
Are you creating a brand new character from scratch, and starting by selecting the Variant Human? In that case, you haven't set your stats or class yet, so the builder doesn't know your DEX score to see if you can get Skulker, or if you have proficiency in medium armor. Assign your stats and class, and then come back to the feats selection, and I bet they'll be there.
I don't think these are the only feats with prerequisites -- there are the 'ability to cast at least one spell' feats, for example, which are available at this point, despite you not having selected a class either, so the behavior isn't fully consistent, but this is my guess, based on the fact that you didn't say that you had access to NONE of the PHB feats.
Yeah, now that I look closer at the list, every one of those has a prerequisite (light/medium/heavy armor proficiency, 13 STR, 13 DEX, 13 CHA). And Grappler is the 1 free feat from PHB, so that is probably the problem.
Based on the wording of the post, I thought you had a character that was built the same as it was when it had access to these feats.
No that can't be the case, I've never had anything shared with me and I only use the website for creating characters. It's why I bought the Player's Handbook
Just tried it out and you were totally right, I was missing some prerequisites. Thanks for letting me know, I was getting worried for a second there lol.

Real quick I just wanted to post which feats were missing for me. All of these are feats from the Player's Handbook.
Defensive Dualist, Grappler, Heavily Armored, Heavy Armor Master, Inspiring Leader, Medium Armor Master, Moderately Armored, and Skulker.
I may have missed a few or added one too many, but that's about 8 missing feats.
Hi there TVHeadTed,
you'll need access to the Player's Handbook to be able to access those feats.
Those feats are not part of the D&D 5th edition SRD and will need to be unlocked from the marketplace before you can use them on D&D Beyond.
D&D Beyond can be used for free and contains information from the following "free to use" sources published by Wizards of the Coast: D&D 5th edition SRD, D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, and Elemental Evil Companion.
Content from other sources, such as the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, or Monster Manual, will need to be purchased from the Marketplace or accessed via another user sharing content with you via their Master Tier Subscription.

You may have been having them shared to you with content sharing. Only characters in the sharing campaign can use the shared options.

The thing is though is that I do have the Player's Handbook already...
