How do I update my payment information? My subscription didn't auto renew because I got a new card. There's no option to change it update payment method. The only option is to cancel subscription which I don't want to do.
My sub wasn't set to renew until 6/17/20. I canceled so that I could update my payment information since my old card is expiring and I had just received the new one. Now my new sub is only good until 5/20/21. So, I lost nearly a month of sub time.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but you'd think a top priority for any business would be finding a way to keep your customers from having to jump through hoops running forum searches to find out how to pay you.
Not to mention not shorting them for time they payed for with a subscription based service.
Okay, this could’ve been explained a little better. What they mean, is when you cancel a subscription, you still retain all of the benefits until the renew date. If for example, you had a hero subscription that lasted until the 8th of August, and you cancel it on the 15th of July. You will retain all benefits of the subscription (unlimited characters, no ads, early access to alpha features, etc) until the 8th of August.
You aren't wrong that it should be simpler. If you have concerns about your sub's end date, you can contact support and they can either adjust the end date or refund you for the unused time.

How is this still not fixed? Even trying to cancel to resubscribe to change payment info? Cannot cancel my subscription cause it just gives me the spinning wheel of death. nothing happens. no cancel no change. just stuck. terrible suppor to the most basic function of a store on the internet.

I did choose to cancel so I could resubscribe but when I try I get errors about not collecting payment or else the spinning wheel of death... I agree that it shouldn't be this difficult to give someone my money.

and just so y'all know, the solution of "cancel your subscription and then reup" doesn't work. it still returns me to the same "couldn't collect payment" screen when I try to select a new subscription. It gives me no option to change payment info. I click the Hero tier option, it takes me to the payment error screen. This is utterly incompetent billing system design.
lol just found this thread. 3yrs and this is still an issue. Currently in the same boat. Its unacceptable that a paying member doesn't have access to change their own payment method. Just absolutely dumb.

You have to cancel your current subscription and then start a new one using the updated payment method.

Same boat as Harjutapa....sent a ticket... but good gracious updating payment information is ecommerce 101 from 10 years ago.
