As the title says, when I export a character sheet I get a pdf that I can't edit. I searched through the forums and there are a few comments saying that the exported sheed is editable.
That's really odd as the PDF character sheet downloaded from D&D Beyond is identical to the ones from the wizards.com site, other than two things: the logo is changed; data is filled into fields for you before it downloads.
I tried multiple applications, but I'm running Linux, so I can't use Adobe Acrobat. I tried without success: Firefox, evince, Document Viewer, Okular and qpdfview.
After your comment I tried opening them in Chrome and I can edit the fields in there. At least I have a workaround now :)
I had more time to fiddle with the character sheet and noticed that I can open them in Chrome and edit the fields in there, but when I save the modified sheet I don't see the changes anywhere :(
Edit: I read some more about Chrome and the save button just makes a copy of the original, the print function can create a pdf with the modified form values, but the printed pdf is not editable anywhere :(

To save on troubleshooting, I have downloaded the blank character sheets from http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/character_sheets and I'm able to edit those ones.
Hello, when you export the sheet are you saving what is opened, and then opening your saved file?
Yes, I have the file downloaded to a folder in my computer, right next to the empty character sheet from wizards.com that I can edit.

What application are you using to open the PDF?

I've had issues editing it too, but I only used chrome.

Ugh--You can edit in the Chrome browser (Mac). You can Save and Print from the browser. But the Saved file can't be edited further (Mac, Preview).
