I have a +0 in Charisma (10), but a +8 in Deception (proficient), +5 in Persuasion, and a +5 in Intimidation.
I can't find any reason why the bonuses for charisma checks are so high. There's nothing in racial or class features that gives a reason to this. Can override them obviously, but I want to know why it's even like that in the first place...

It is adding the +3 because of your Otherwordly Glamour feature from Fey Wanderer.
Otherworldly Glamour TCoE, pg. 59 - Whenever you make a CHA check, you gain a +3 bonus to the check. (the +3 is from your current WIS modifier)
Otherworldly Glamour applies to all CHA checks. You also have expertise in Persuasion via the Skill Expert feat.
Double proficiency at level nine is +8, plus a +4 for your CHA modifier = 12, +3 (WIS mod) from Otherworldly Glamour = +15 to those checks (also an additional +3 to your other CHA skills)

In the meantime - do you have any homebrew added to the character (feats, magic items etc) that could be causing this?
