The compendium doesn't include the content to use with the DNDBeyond tools - it's just the book to view and read online. What you need is the full PHB.
Yea I'm afraid they were mistaken. The compendium content says it doesn't include builder content in its description.
The Compendium Content bundle does not grant access to all the content’s options in the rest of the toolset, such as the searchable listings, character builder, or digital sheet.
I have purchased the PHB Compendium and all i can get to pull up on the archetypes is Champion.
