I've been reading through The Sunless Citadel, and while it references a Diseased Giant Rat a number of times I cannot find any monster entry for it in either the moster-appendex of Tales from the Yawning Portal or by searching the Monsters section of the site.
This is especially problematic for Section 47 - Belak's Labratory, as it describes the effect of a potion of being the same as that of what a diseased rat would inflict, since I can't find what it does!
I had a look and that does seem to be an oversight from the authors of the module. I've checked my hardback copy and that also omits the stat-block for Giant Rat.
In the Monster Manual, there is an entry for Giant Rat, that includes a variant version of "Diseased Giant Rat"
This monster occurs several times within the TotYP adventures, so I have flagged this as a bug and will ask for it to be added to the appendix.
I had thought that variants would either be listed as separate Monster entries, or appear as further information on a Monster entry's details - good to know those have to currently be looked up in the Monster Manual directly.

D&D Beyond FoundersYeah, this is an odd one though - this isn't a D&D Beyond mistake, as the monster is missing from the published version of the book.
I'll talk to the Curse team to find out what the way forward is.

It would seem this is still a problem. I can't find the diseased giant rat anywhere here but it is in the Monster Manual.
