Hi, I was wanting to suggest this as I think that it would be an awesome feature of using a digital format. As a DM I feel that this would help me immensely with upkeep of characters and to see if there might have been an accident made somewhere.
Now I do have a natural intuition that has developed as I have as a DM and I can generally find something that might be wrong or changed, however I think that this would be awesome, especially in a Westmarch style campaign where I have higher player counts then most other style campaigns. Maybe this could even be a feature that could be toggled on?
Anyway thanks a bunch for all the work you guys are doing! I am loving D&D beyond so far and use it in every campaign I run.
I've caught a player "cheating" recently, because I've made copies of their level 1 characters, when we started a campaign, months ago. This feature, edit of sheet histories, change tracking, etc, is something that's been requested as far back as 2017, 2018, if you search engine this topic. DNDB, doesn't care. They have a dice roller log for campaigns, but not sheet histories. This feature will be requested, and fall on deaf ears, again and again and again.
Sad...
As a rule, have your players make their sheets at level 1, then on your own volition, clone them and download them as PDFs. If you decide to start the players at higher levels, don't inform them of this choice until last minute. DNDB won't protect you from cheats, and cheaters WILL CHEAT. DNDB doesn't care.
Ditto on the upvote - this does not need to be a full blown undo/redo - simply a text log for each RELEVANT change. We don't need to know they took 5 points of damage, but we do want to know that Skill X was changed to being proficient, item Y was added to the inventory, ....

I also want this feature, for the "accidents" and the "cheats". Something that can be toggled would be nice.
+1 for the change log. It would really help in those cases you mess something up and don't remember what it's supposed to be.
"Uh-oh, I set my exp to X instead of added it.. "
Experiencing this now and I really don’t want to punish the innocent but signs point to “accident”
Coming soon catch my twitch for the founding live stream... @Dungeonsafterdarkbaybee
