Currently, the only way to add allies in the Encounter Builder is to add them as a "character" in the Party. I'd love for the ability to make monsters as "allies" that do not count towards calculating the difficulty of the encounter. For example, the PCs and a handful of faction agents are working together to ambush an enemy caravan. I have to create an NPC in order to add them to the Party... and they will count towards the calculation used to determine the encounter difficulty. If I don't add them to the Party but add them to the encounter they automatically are considered opponents and count towards the calculation used to determine the encounter difficulty.
A very useful tool would be to make a monster as an "ally" without adding them to the party, and flagging a monster as not being counted in the calculation used to determine the encounter difficulty. This would allow me to keep track of the allies in the initiative tracker and have easy access to their stats within the encounter while helping me to keep an ordered narrative within the encounter.

Just thought the exact same and looked up to see if it was possible. This would be a really handy feature.
