I think this is true but I really hope I am wrong here. It would seem that in order to use any homebrew subclasses that were made with the 2014 rules on a character using the 2024 rules...You have to fully re-make the old subclass using a 2024 template. It doesn't even work to go to one of these homebrews and create a new version. The new version can't be toggled to the 2024 version (which seems simple enough to me but who knows?).
tl;dr -- I have to manually re-make like 100+ homebrew subclasses and it's a goddamn nightmare.
Exactly also my situation. I'd say some are faster to be done than others, but it seems more feasible to document somewhere external which Subclass you've made for which version and only build it when you actually need it.
For new subclasses I'm making, I will just do both versions simultaneously in multiple browser windows.
Yeah, I have all sorts of subclasses from various books both wotc official and third party here. We can buy them and even though they are technically compatible on paper we can't use them with the updated base classes.
Edit: Would love a time table on some of the content getting updated, either from the Beyond team or from some of 3rd party teams.
