I think it is very frustrating that at this point we still cannot edit things as simple as range and damage on weapons. You can replace damage types but can't replace overall damage. I want to create a weapon and completely overhaul the damage it does, not just add some additonal on top. I want to modify the range of a weapon from 100 to 60 or 80. I want to be able to control these things instead of just being forced to use the properties of another weapon after choosing Base Weapon.
What makes this very frustrating is this isnt a challenging thing to program. Please add this feature!
Yeah the current system is really, really poorly explained. Especially when trying to add or change things that already exist in the game. The layout of how you create something should look more like what appears in the inventory, with buttons to add/change existing properties.

Last I checked you can't make non-magical weapons with the custom item creation on DNDbeyond.
All of my grievances also apply to magic weapons.
I also think this should be an easy addition that opens up a huge world of possibilities with homebrews
Why allow you to homebrew it when they can rather sell it to you later?
