I am requesting to opt out of anything 2024 related for my campaign. I did not due any research between 2014 and 2024 content. Your new changes to the website have created significant issues for me running my campaign, as we've had players accidentally create 2024 characters in my 2014 game. I think it's pretty strange I have the option to turn off 2014 content but not force my players to turn off 2024 options. As a supporter who's bought every 2014 book, I think it's a really reasonable request given that I've not and do not anticipate buying 2024 content.

I just helped my daughter create a new character yesterday, for a short adventure she's playing with her friends. It was a NIGHTMARE. None of them have read any of the new 5.5e rules, nor have I since about halfway through the UA playtest.
We don't own any of the new books. But the D&D Beyond character builder forces the "2024 Free Rules" content on to us, causing huge confusion.
Given 5.5e classes, spells, and especially backgrounds are quite different to their 5e counterparts, mixing the two sets of rules together like this is just causing confusion. Even with my help we accidentally selected the 5.5e rules for some things at first.
This will be a massive headache for the poor teenage DM who has no idea about things like weapon mastery, backgrounds giving free feats, spells doing different things, etc. And of course given almost all 5.5e content is more powerful than their 5e counterparts, it's going to cause even greater intra-party imbalance.
From the DM side, I'm constantly having to go in and swap player's spells to the legacy spells.
From the player & DM side, Spells that are unique to 2024, don't have any identifying tag like [Legacy] Next to them so they are not easily identifiable from the "Manage -> learn a spell" window, unless you happen to know that spell is specific to 2024, or you expand the spell details and read the spell details, and find the that the source is the PHB 2024.
I really don't know why it's difficult for them to just add a "2024" and a "2014" content slider toggle that enables/disables this content.
What's also interesting is that I have certain shared content in my campaign that is blocked (Strixhaven), but those spells keep showing up on their sheets as something they can pick. It seems like every other week they fix this and then they break the College of Eloquence bard that also appears in Strixhaven but also in Tasha's but shouldn't be blocked if you have Tasha's enabled but Strixhaven blocked.....

This really is unacceptable.
Get me out of 2024 forced change.
The complete and total silence from WotC is deafening.
