I don’t want to use an offsite sheet, none of the in sheet tools, and in sheet references can be used like that
The point is, that D&D Beyond implements the Dungeons and Dragons 2014/2024 RAW. That ruleset does not (currently) include Level 0 play, nor does it cover complete flexibility when using RAW.
As has been the case since 1974, if you want to go off the beaten path, a pencil and paper are always available. It's not what D&D Beyond is for.
What is the forum for? Primarily for the community to discuss. The devs don't look to it for feature requests. So the best you were EVER going to get was community input saying whether it would be a good or feasible idea or not.
The only staff who use the forums are community managers. They have a line to the devs, but the use of it is for actual bug reporting, not asking for features that fall outside of the scope of the site's design.
You're crazy if you think the devs will add this feature to the website. The homebrew customization barely functions and is awful. It gets the job done.
I would rather they spend time fixing problems or implementing features that haven't been but should be. I would list them, but this forum is full of them.
Why don't you use outside resources like other players to get done what ddb can't? Lots of use people dicecloud, or create custom statblocks with critterdb or bestiarybuilder.
Playing DND is about solving problems, and that's something both players and DM have to do. Sometimes you just need to know what tool you need for what job.

I would love this too for similar reasons.
