As a new person getting into DnD from watching high rollers i am looking into using homebrew content to expand the world but for a outside person to join there is a subscription price tag which seems a little outdated (World of warcraft days) and doesn't fit with the marketplace/content of WotC. I understand the tiers help pay DnD Beyond staff and allows them to work on the site and maintain it so i still wish for them to get paid for the service they provide. I don't know how many people subscribe to one of the tiers but i feel it would be more attractive to spend money directly to DnD Beyond if there was a 1 off payment to unlock the homebrew content in the marketplace (make it $30 for example and keep the ads). I would even pay for other material e.g battlemaps, character slots and other such things. Keep master tier as it is, an unlock for all.
Moving on to homebrew, I wouldn't mind a quick guide on how to fill out the create homebrew creations. For example when you create an item for example there is a link to a guide at the top of the page. Spells could do with a material component filter (yes or no) and a few more filters in general to hone in on particular searches. Last thing that could be worked on is not allowing people to downvote a homebrew creation until they have added it to there collection and even then if you downvote a creation you have to leave a comment more than 10 words to try encourage engaging comments and improvements the creator can then take on board and adjust if they see fit. Lastly when you add a homebrew creations to your collection the system should upvote it automatically as you are potentially using it.
I am a little puzzled by the first part of your post... the Subscription is in no way mandatory to use any of the tools on DDB, it simply lifts the limitation on number of characters that can be created (Hero Tier) and allows the sharing of the unlocked content from the Marketplace (Master Tier). Every tool is absolutely free of charge, you could even re-create everything in the PHB (for example) without spending a penny (but you can only use it privately for yourself/people in your campaign).

I'm not sure what your first question is exactly. You can access and use homebrew that was shared. If you are creating homebrew I think it's part of the shared info for master tier. However, if you are creating homebrew from scratch you could just recreate it in your friend's free account after you work out the kinks in yours and they could choose that option. Its extra work but that's kinda the way the free stuff works
There are plans to update the homebrew system so I think they are waiting for that before writing guides. Currently what I do is review a similar item from the other books to figure out how to do it by cloning a copy. There is a lot of hit or miss but as you fiddle with it you get better.
I don't think you understand the marketplace and subscription options.
For Homebrew:
There is a guide
There are component filters
Why should anyone have to pay for a subscription, add a homebrew they don't like to their collection, have it be automatically up voted, then write a comment about why they don't think it is good, all to change that up vote to a down vote? (I do think constructive comments should be encouraged though)

I know the subscription is completely optional and i could remake every creation i see from the homebrew content myself but i would much rather pay a 1 off price to enable adding homebrew content to my collection and pay a bit to say thank you to the DnD Beyond team than pay an subscription service for the one part i want to use. Sorry the original post was a bit rambley.
There are component filters. There is no filter for components in the homebrew advance filters. It is only available for official spells

What? Why would anyone add a homebrew creation if they don't like it?
If you add a homebrew creation to your collection then you must like it or see how it fits with your own campaign/character right?
If not then you try it out and find it's made incorrectly or is to overpowered, etc. Then to help the creator you have to make a real comment and not just downvote it because its broken or too overpowered. It also stops people from downvoting creation just because they don't like the creation without trying it.

There are 5 pinned threads here about how to use various aspects of the hombrew system. https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules
Ah! Thank you very much.
