Bug: Armor class calculation is including DEX mods on heavy armor. Create a character with a DEX of 8 (-1) Add Chain Mail (AC16) and shield (+2) and the sheet will calculate an AC of 17 whereas it should be 18.
Also, I created a level 2 character and can't seem to get my hit points to increase to level 2.
Not sure if reported yet but I randomized a character and chose variant human as the race and allowed feats and got the "Svirfneblin Magic" feat which requires you to be a deep gnome to get.
When in abilities tab of character sheet, would be helpful to be able to tap an ability to add temp buff to a stat, and have that then temp bump wear pop or other stats
I just finished making a character. Solid flow to building it. One thing I would like it a notes section in the equipment part to add my own unique equipment or special pieces of gear. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see it on a second or third look. Also, putting notes next to equipment I have would be a nice feature too so I could name a weapon, things like that.
Here's the specific things I was attempting to do. I wanted to put "ten 50gp diamonds" in my equipment list. It would be for a certain spell. chromatic orb, but I can't put that in my equipment section.
The Staff as equipment and Quarterstaff as weapon thing confused me too
Love what's going on so far and I can't wait to see how this improves.
Some nitpicky feedback: A feature that tells you what the average lifespan and life stages are for the different races would be very helpful by where we enter the character's age.
I created a human Fighter 1 and then leveled it up one level at a time to level 10. Here is my feedback:
It would be nice if, on Second Wind in the Limited Use box, when I click “Use,” if a box opened up with a virtual d10 die roller and, if rolled, added my hp automatically.
I bought five javelins, but I don’t see that number reflected in the Attacks or Equipment sections of the digital character sheet. It just lists javelin.
When I tried to add my Ability Score Improvement at fighter level 8 and I selected Constitution score, it took away the feature and kicked me back to level 7. I had to retry three times before it worked.
Selecting the Defense fighting style does not grant the +1 bonus to AC.
It would be nice under Remarkable Athlete if it calculated your new jump distance for you.
As always, it's not intuitive to have character level and class level on different pages. A Level Up button on the digital character sheet page would be nice.
Half-elf racial bonus to ability scores isn't fully entering for me. Charisma works, but the bonus isn't showing up to the two other ability scores I chose.
Will the rest of the backgrounds in the player handbook be added soon? All I see available are acolyte, criminal/spy, folk hero, noble, sage, and soldier.

Only Basic Rules/SRD content is available during the course of the beta. Players Handbook and other publications will unlock upon launch.
The more I think about it, the more I dislike how backgrounds are buried on these sheets, especially compared to the official paper character sheet. It would be better, I think, to have personality traits, ideals, flaws, and bonds visible on the page without clicking on any dropdown menus and the background listed in the banner with race and class.
I'm playing a half-elf rogue. Animal handling shows up in my character sheet as something I have expertise in, despite not having selected animal handling anywhere.
Mobile testing. First it's worth saying that this site is amazing and even in beta it's blowing away anything I thought could be possible for a D&D website. The issues I first have upon character creation:
- There are only 2 feats available for variant humans; Grappler and the Svirfneblin one.
- There were many backgrounds missing from the sub menu
- My unarmored movement for the monk was not calculating and wasn't changing once I added levels
- I don't see an easy way to add a manual health roll when leveling your character

Lookin' good guys! A few quick observations for the first couple steps of the Character Creator:
I don't love the slide-out on hover effect on the Prev/Next buttons. I'd prefer to have them fully expanded all the time and just toggle between faded color/full color on hover. I like how they track down the page, but I'd like to see them at the bottom of the screen rather than the middle.
When choosing a race (like Tiefling) that has racial spell abilities, it would be nice to have an on-hover tooltip attached to the spell name, like in the spell section.
The blue arrows on the race/class lists don't really jive. They remind me of paid content spam links, and from a UX perspective don't necessarily align with popping a modal on click, they suggest a link that'll take you to a different page. Maybe use a different arrow? Maybe just a thinner caret?
I think the powder blue highlight color being used throughout feels very "websitey" and doesn't blend well with the fantasy aesthetic. Maybe if it was a tad brighter it would read as more arcane?
Need a "Choose Different Class" link/button like the "Choose Different Race." Currently I can't find a way to change my mind once I've selected a class. I had to clear my cookies and start over to change my class.
In the accordions, I think the padding should be uniform on the bars themselves. As is, the text and plus icon are a little too close to the edges for my taste, particularly when the exclamation point icon is present and it runs into the text.

Thanks and great work so far.
The basic random character works okay but doesn't fill all of the character sheet in.
it misses -
1. equipment
2. characteristics like age, height, weight etc
3. Alignment

Am doing all my testing mobile.

Character sheet manage spells would like to be able to optionally pull an overlay of spell description as a reminder when picking.
Similarly, same for armor or weapons when picking. Will help newbs make decisions.
On a droid mini. 4.4.4
In character sheet if you open the navigation menu, the character tabs bar overlays the site menu, blocking a selection.
So you seem to have a z-index issue.

On mobile, In the known spells it's not consistent.
Expand cure wounds and the amount it cures is immediately under the cast button.
Expand Ice knife and it isn't. You need to expand the read more to see the damage.
All hp and resulting condition info should summarize under the cast button if you are going to do it.

Only thing I noted was that when picking a patron for warlock or a domain for cleric I o ly get one choice when I know there are more than that.

It's gonna be great, thanks for the hard work!
