I love the way everything is looking so far except for the items layout, I feel like this is such a wide open area that the first layout people see should be more intuitive.
Right away you're greeted with Adamantine &blahblahblah, you notice that everything is in alphabetical order and go to the "filters". I think this could be simplified by presenting this information in a different way, maybe a few simple choices that break it down for players building characters, DM's looking to provide treasure and then the third option would be something like "alphabetical list of ALL items, magical and non magical."
Also, it would be cool if you listed prices on items (I HATE this whole "magic is so rare you can't assign gold prices system. Then why are there SO MANY MAGIC ITEMS?!)
EDIT: It would be helpful to have an items list that is exactly the items only available in the PHB as shown to players. A gear, weapons and armor table, not all combined but three different selections. I imagine it would be mapped like "Players" or "DMs" list, you click players and it drops down to New Character, All Non-Magic, All Magic... then if you click "new character" it goes to "Equipment" or "Weapons" or "Armor." Of course having an option to NOT HAVE magic items by default would help, to click and add those would be more useful for a DM than anybody else for the most part, players just get to beg to see them in the game and have their mouths watering on the keyboard.
I'm not great with ideas when it comes to dissemination of information but I think somebody below this post might be cool enough to have the right idea, isn't that what Beta's are for?
What might be a good idea is have items sorted by likely character level usage? Start the default order with Starting Equipment? Weapons first, armor second, differing packs next...
Exact same idea I was having lol, they should break it down to stuff that new players can use without having to go into all that other stuff! Make it easy for noobs so it's a resource they don't want to get into the game without. Once they're started with it they won't want to stop using it later.

Isn't the pile of corpses enough of a signature? I think they get the point.
I agree that the items could be presented better. What we're really looking for here is more than a searchable version of the DMG. The little type buttons along the top are lovely, but it might be better to have the types as expandable categories, rather than having to load a new search every time one is selected.
While we're at it, it might also be worth noting that the section "Items" is a bit misleading, as it only seems to contain magic items. If you want any normal adventuring gear, you have to look in the compendium. Wouldn't it also make sense to have mundane items like weapons and armor searchable from the "items" page?
I literally was complaining about the issue before I looked but the fact that they don't even include the normal items is a travesty! You're right, it's just misleading and new players are gonna do circles trying to figure it out. If you can't tell I'm really gauging the usefulness of this tool set for new players first and then judging the type of content available for DM's second. I have everything I need in the books and if new players can't make use of this for me to shift them to then I'll find it less likely a tool that I put to use as well.

It would also be nice to have the items listed in table formats to link to their descriptions if available elsewhere. I am also hoping for the ability to "add" to lists later when everything is up and running. So that NPC 1 has "these" items...and poof, list is there.
My biggest issue with the magic items table is that when searching through things, it felt weird going through the 5 variations of each type of armor for each enchantment. Each entry is identical, save for the distinction of what kind of armor it is for each individual enchantment, giving a list like:
Armor of acid protection, leather
Armor of acid protection, chain
Armor of acid protection, Splint
etc.
Essentially, it makes the search system clunky. It would be more user friendly to include details about what types of armor can be present in that type of enchantment in the drop down menu's that have already been developed. Either that or have weapons, armor, and item tables like the ones in the PHB, so DM's can have more flexibility about that they choose to enchant with particular enchantments.
It's cool, but it could use refinement in the areas listed above.
being able to search items by type (gloves, boots, helms ect.) would be nice. there are tags to search by, but they arnt fully implemented it seems. Searching for "handwear" tag pulls up 2 items, but is you search for "gloves" you find different items.
The layout on the multiclass spell caster table is wonky. It would be a lot more readable if it was one table with caster level down the left and the spell slot levels across the y axis.
First of all I am a bad speller; second of all some of the things in D&D are just spelt umm... theatrically... So I would love to see in the search either a drop down with options (like google) or when your search doesn't match it still gives you "like" spellings. Mythril for mithral or kobolt for kobold.....

She is a formidable one,” he said when Jarlaxle appeared at his side a moment later. “Dangerous and full of fire,” Jarlaxle agreed. “I might have to kill her.” “I might have to bed her.

Agree, the item tables are extraordinarily cumbersome. Picking an armor type and then a drop down menu of the 13 resistances would make the tables easier to look through.
EDIT: I did just discover the 'Advanced Filter' option located in the center of the screen, just under the 'Reset All Filters' heading. This does help reduce the amount of clutter when searching.

There needs to be an option to sort items by magical rarity, as well, I think. This would help facilitate DMs to find level appropriate gear.
It would also be nice to have the items listed in table formats to link to their descriptions if available elsewhere. I am also hoping for the ability to "add" to lists later when everything is up and running. So that NPC 1 has "these" items...and poof, list is there.
As well as that the wall of items with the same properties, like Armour, are off putting to look through the way they are.
When I search by Rare, the first page is 5 of the different types of Cold Resistant Armour, and 15 Fire Resistant types.
I'd rather it were just "Cold Resistant Armour" or "Fire Resistant Armour" with the options there when you click it.
Just checked, there are 6 and a 1/4 pages of armour in Rare.

Adding my 2c. I agree. I'd like to see magic items sorted/presented as if they were affixes rather than each variation possible.

You can already filter by source, so it's easy to say PHB only.

"Items" appears to be only "Magic Items". It would be helpful to have all items and be able to filter on magic or non-magic.
The layout on the multiclass spell caster table is wonky. It would be a lot more readable if it was one table with caster level down the left and the spell slot levels across the y axis.
Item stats, price (both buy and sell) crafting requirments, and a bookmarking option would be sweet.
