I scrolled through a bunch of the forums and didn't see this, but if it has been answered a point in the proper direction would be great!
I've been trying to multi class my level 10 Blood Hunter (Profane Soul) with a first level of Warlock (using the same Patron). A few issues come up when I do this. The biggest one is that when I turn off multi class requirements (as Blood Hunters use Intelligence for Warlock spells), there are still two separate spell progressions that are listed for the character - the Blood Hunter and the Warlock. Is there a way to do as the class says, where Blood Hunter levels are 1/3 and then use the Warlock Progression table for slots and level? I wouldn't mind the amount of slots themselves, but I cannot see/know the higher level spells when I reach the appropriate level.
I love the Blood Hunter as a whole, and everything else seems to be working perfectly in my opinion. Thanks for all that you do!
It is working correctly. You get slots number and level according to combined caster level and learn spells according to each class level. This is correct.
If multiclassing Order of the Profane Soul with Warlock levels, add a third of your blood hunter levels (rounded down) to your Warlock level and consult the Warlock progression table in the Player’s Handbook for total Spell Slots, Cantrips known, and Spell Slot Level.
The wording on the class page makes me think that, for example, a Blood Hunter 10 and Warlock 5 would have the slots and level equivalent to a Warlock 8 (10/3 = 3 + 5 = 8) - 3 cantrips, 9 spells known, 2 4th level spell slot.
This as opposed to Blood Hunter 10 - 3 cantrips, 5 spells known and 2 2nd level slots - and Warlock 5 - 3 cantrips, 6 spells known, 2 3rd level slots. From my understanding, that would be double the cantrips available, and 2 additional spells known all pulled from the same warlock spell list.
(For comparison's sake, a Blood Hunter 15 would be 3 cantrips, 8 spells, 2 3rd level slots).
I just looked at it again and I think I was misinterpreting what I was seeing. I also think that for some reason I had seen that there were double the slots available (normal per class), which is definitely not the case at the moment.

Are you sure?

But thank you for taking the time to answer!

Thank you again for the help!
Ok. The character sheet doesn't enforce total cantrips between both classes, bit that is a weird rule...
