I used the app to create a prototype of a character, but when we actually rolled stats at the table I updated the ability scores using the web editor. On the web site, the character abilities are correct, but on the app, they are the original point buy stats. I even tried to open the edit feature using the app and it shows the updated scores already! But the app view shows the old version of the character. Can I force update somehow? (the drag down refresh gesture does not get the latest abilities either).
Let me add that when I finalized, I added the character's last name - in the app's "my characters" screen it shows the updated name, but when I open the sheet, it shows the original name.
Yeah unfortunately from my experience, this isn't all too rare. I'm having the same problem currently. Sometimes it fixes after a few minutes, sometimes it takes hours. Hopefully it's sorted by now since you posted this 4 hours ago, but it's one of the cons of DnD beyond in my opinion and why despite being more clunky and messy, I'm starting to go more paper-based (sorry environment, I promise I'm recycling my paper responsibly 😔)
This is a new and pervasive issue. I would like to hear from Beyond D&D about when they are going to fix it. As a DM, my players use the app in game. If they add new magic items or spells, they need to be able to use those changes right away.

I second this request.
I third this request, sorry wrong button.
Accord. Still happening intermittently. Can never tell when it will or won't update.
I'm also having a similar issue right now. I was editing this character and I've changed the race a few times. It used to be a goblin as it was an old concept character sheet, then I changed it to a v human. Then I decided that I wanted a harengon, and the sheet didn't update on the app as it still says variant human. When I go into the builder it shows my changes but not when I look at the sheet. The website shows the changes. I tried changing it again to something else, thinking maybe it was a glitch from having removed them from the campaign sharing the content and so tested with something I owned. Didn't work. Added them back to that campaign, didn't work. Updated the app because I've been holding that off since I didn't like a UI update they did a while ago. Changed nothing. Updated all my books I haven't updated. Didn't work. Downloaded the books shared to me that contained the race. Didn't work. Please fix this.
Edit: I've not tried adding something from the sheet to try and force an update. Added a magic shield. The shield is there now but it still thinks it's a v human.
Edit 2: it has finally fixed itself, comment still stands that this is something that should be fixed.
Frustrating that this is happening for so many. For me, the 'quick fix' seems to be signing out of the app and back in again... hopefully that'll work for those that are struggling. It's ruddy annoying that we have to bodge the fix in this way though.
I was able to solve this issue for myself by making a copy of the edited character from within the app. That forced the app to refresh the info, both the copy and original character were updated. I just deleted the copy afterwards, and everything's gravy now.
This is still happening to me. I'm a chronic character builder that tends to copy a current character then expand them out 3-4 levels to see what direction I want to go. But this bug is really irritating. I have over 80 character slots with about half of them as copies, most of which are experiencing this bug.
I have had this exact bug happen across multiple characters for any number of adjustments or changes to the character sheet. I've gotten in the habit of creating a copy and deleting the originals the character sheet actually shows the changes, this becomes slightly more tedious on characters who are in a campaign but is the temporary fix I've had to use.

I did the edits a couple of days ago, and I just refreshed again, its still the wrong version.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, finally got the right version to appear.

Add a fifth to that too.
Sixth.
Absolutely sad that the only information I can find about this issue is threads like this with several others having the same issue.

Experiencing the app not updating the sheet even after making changes on the app. Looks correct on the website tho. What's up DnD beyond?
