I'm wondering if I can use the app to roll onto VTTs such as Roll20 like the browser extension lets me do. It would be really convenient if I could have the VTT up on my computer and be able to use the character sheet on my tablet to roll there without having to switch between browser tabs.
I'm not very tech savvy so maybe that would be hard to engineer, but it would be great if it does work like that.

AboveVTT uses the DDB gamelog, so any roll you make from the apps will show up in the VTT.... BUT things like synching the character sheet HP to the token won't work that way.. You may use the app for rolling.. and then doing edits only in the VTT.. but I don't know if that is gonna simplify your play :)
In regards to using D&D Beyond with Roll20, there's an extension called Beyond20 thatyou could look into. It won't allow for look ups, but you can use the sheets from DDB and with a click have the roles made in Roll20. Further, it's create for linking spell cards and items.
What you're asking for in regards to the desktop and tablet isn't an option however.
Also keep in mind Beyond20 works for player characters, monsters, spells and items, so there is some versatility to look into.
