SO with the release of Van Richten's Guide today something peaked my curiosity.
With the Dhampir Vampiric Bite counting as a simple melee weapon couldn't this work as a Pact of the Blade Warlock's Pact weapon?
If this works (which I cant think of why it wouldn't since its written to count as a simple melee weapon) then RAW all Invocations that make use of the Pact weapon would work too. This would include Thirsting Blade, Eldritch Smite, Improved Pact weapon, and Lifedrinker.
Sadly I don't think the Hex Warrior feature would work since Charisma can only replace your Strength or Dexterity for RAW.
The published version at least addressed that the damage dealt by the bite must be piercing damage to give the bonus effect (healing, ability/attack). However, doesn't this still include Hunter's Mark, Sneak Attack, and probably some others I'm forgetting? Since they amplify the original damage, and aren't applying an extra damage type, I believe they work RAW.
As for your question, what NaivaraArnuanna said holds up. It has to appear in your hand.

Yep. This does work, as does Favored Foe.
Sneak Attack
Nope. This doesn't work, as the Vampiric Bite doesn't have the Finesse property, and it isn't ranged, so Sneak Attack doesn't stack with Vampiric Bite.

Martial Arts Dice and a Kensei's Deft Strike (assuming you choose your bite to be a Kensei Weapon). Those are the main ones I can think of right now, but I'm sure there's a few others. (Enlarge/Reduce should work, too, now that I think of it, as does Hexblade's curse. Interesting . . .)

Yep. This is exactly how this works.
However, this is a much better balanced version from the UA's version of this bite, where RAW you could gain the benefits of the bite from radiant damage from a Divine Smite. That was really crazy, and it's good that it was nerfed to its current state.

RAW nope. Unless maybe the idea of a toothy mouth magically appearing in your hand appeals to you.
Wizard (Gandalf) of the Tolkien Club
There is at least one Dhampir that has a mouth in his hand.

Vampiric Bite RAW has lots of concerns.
