My recommendation is to just find 2nd edition birthright books and just port that over. It’ll be about the same amount of work (though different types of work) and it’ll save you money and IMO work better.
Birthright is my favorite DnD campaign setting and it always brings a smile when I see it mentioned. For anyone interested in knowing more about the systems Mikal768 hints at (and possibly even the setting) there are at least a couple of projects I'm aware of that aimed to bring it over to 5th edition.
