2024 TOOLTIPS ---------- action - an action taken in combat, ex: dodge, search, ready, utilize, influence condition (*) items - a mundane item, ex: torch, backpack, trident magicitems - a magical item, ex: CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE (plural term "magicitems" references 2014 definitions) monsters - a creature you can encounter, ex: CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE (plural term "monsters" references 2014 definitions) monimgs - the image for a specific monster (if it has one) sense (*) (the 2024 versions of senses apparently match their 2014 versions) skill (*) (the 2024 versions of skills apparently match their 2014 versions) spells - a magical spell, ex: Mage Hand, Magic Missile (NOTE: if the spell is not in the 2024 PHB, the spell from the original source displays, as with Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting) wprops - a property of a weapon, ex: CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE (plural term "wprops" does not invoke any tooltip) vehicles - a specific vehicle, ex: CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE (as vehicles are from Ghosts of Saltmarsh, there are no 2024 versions yet; "vehicles" does not invoke any tooltip) rules - a rule of D&D, ex: falling, heavily obscured, total cover
* = both legacy and 2024 content use the same tooltip command
I'm wondering if this is just an issue for me, or if someone else can check and verify that it's an issue for them too.
I've created a homebrew Spellcaster monster using [ spells][ /spells] for the 2024 versions, and can confirm that these appear correctly when viewing the monster in My Homebrew Creations.
However, when I add that monster to the Encounter Builder and run the encounter, the spells link to the 2014 versions. It seems like the encounter builder will only display 2014 spells in monster stat blocks, rather than the 2024 versions.
I just tested this in my previous comment since I noticed what I thought was a new tooltip while reading through the 2024 DMG early release.
Looks like there's a new tooltip called "lore," which can presumably refer to anything in the new Lore Glossary included in the 2024 DMG (all the terms I tested just now were from that glossary)
If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

This site is definitely a weird combination!

Can confirm that in the encounter builder it is only showing 2014 spells for me as well.
Don't mind this, just testing out a bunch of tooltips.

[ magicitems] x [/ magicitems] now yields 2024 versions with the early access release of the 2024 DMG.
2014 ([ magicitem]Ring of the Ram[/ magicitem]): Ring of the Ram
2024 ([ magicitems]Ring of the Ram[/ magicitems]): Ring of the Ram
Nice! I'll update my post. Also, I wonder if [ monsters ] has similarly been changed....

Is there a tooltip for Item Images and Magic Item images (like what I tried above)?
It sure would be nice if DDB devs document these tags rather than us playing a guessing game...
You mean like how the mods maintain the list in the first post in this thread?
Yes something like that. Except a more exhaustive list from the devs. For instance, that post doesn't document the [lore] tooltip.
What [lore] tooltip? I've never seen anyone (Dev, Mod or User) reference a [lore] tooltip...Nevermind, I've just seen the post from jldixon above... That seems to be the only tooltip not added to a list yet.
Ignore please; just checking to compare the 2014 weapon proficiencies to the ones in the 2024 Player's Handbook:
Ammunition
Finesse
Heavy
Light
Loading
Range
Reach
Special
Thrown
Two-Handed
Versatile
EDIT: So using "wprop" now shows the 2024 properties (even though Special is still available with the tag, and isn't listed in the 2024 Handbook.)

Another bug I noticed for tracking purposes. [ items ] Net [ /items ] does not point to the 2024 version, despite using the plural tooltip.
See here -> Net
Wow, they sure fixed that one quick, lol!

It's weird, it shows "D&D Free Rules (2024)" as the source, but the text is from 2014.
What would Sunlight Sensitvity fall under? A sense?
Drink water. Take a nap. Pray about it.
I don't think it has a tooltip.
