I promised to DM my first game soon but realized I might have a problem with not having the adventure book on a different website, specifically Roll20. Is there a way for me to port my purchased books from here to there in order to gain access to everything in them for an easier experience or would I have to just rebuy the books over there?
Darn, was really hoping to save some money but I understand, you'd think they would have cut a deal for a cross platform library or something like that by now

Again, profits. Unless they come into the same ecosystem, they're not going to gain anything by accepting books from another company. The only way that would realistically happen is if one company bought the other and they were merged. Otherwise, it's lose-lose.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
If you don't need the automation, I'd take a look at AboveVTT, it adds map support to DND beyond and most people on here that have used it would highly recommend it. Saves having to worry about integrating between different sites then and allows everyone to use beyond to create their characters.

Different companies, so no. Each site has to make a profit from its own sales.

I’d recommend beyond20. It lets you roll on dndbeyond and it show up on roll20. No issues. Only thing you will need is a token and the maps
i second AboveVTT....lets you use DNDBeyond character sheets. Buggy and still needs work, but it's still an amazing system to work with
Foundry has several dndbeyond import tools.
