So on here it says Aarakocras Speak Common, Aarakocra, & Auron. But a friend says there isn't a language Aarakocra & that its only Auran, I'd just dismiss it as they forgot but this friend is knowledgeable about dnd & so is Aarakocra a language & the page has a mistake or did they forget?
Aarakocra is its own distinct language, but it's rarely used and not well documented in any source material. There are a few weird fringe cases like that... like how there's a Giant Elk language spoken pretty much exclusively by the Giant Elk beast, or how Worgs have their own distinct language as well. There are also multiple versions of the Aarakocra playable race depending on what sourcebook you're using, and only one of them has Aarakocra as a distinct language.
Ultimately, for gameplay reasons, I think you would be better off just having them know Auron. The Aarakocra language will only come up if speaking directly to other Aarakocra, and they all also speak Auron anyway.

You should probably tell you're DM that you're running the version that only speaks Auron. That way, he could probably just get rid of the aaracokra language in whatever realm you are playing in.
