The same thing as when any humanoid contracts it. The rules (such as they are) are covered in the MM section on lycanthropes.
If you're asking about a Dhampir made from a non-mammal, like a Warforged or Tortle, your DM might inflict related cosmetic changes on you so people can tell you're not a transformed mammal (such as turning into a robotic or reptilian wolf). There's no RAW basis for that, but it has some popularity.
The ancient mythology for both probably came from disease and fear of death. The modern (18th century+) versions came from Vampire: Fear of wealthy foreigners seducing and violating your people, and Werewolf: fear of puberty (damn kids getting drunk and doing crap/what is going on with my BODY?) Combing the more modern version leads to some strange contradictory concepts, including both sophistication and bestial natures. If I were to try and come up with something that combined the two, I would probably make something more bestial - more like an ancient vampire.
That is most of the time you spend it as sophisticated person, but some times turn into a berserking, bestial, blood thirsty monster that tears apart it's victims. In other words, uncontrolled Rage.
When in battle, at the start of your turn, roll a Charisma or Wisdom save (your choice) DC = to the damage you took since you last made the check. If you fail, you now have Barbarian Rage, but with 2 changes: 1) You are required to try to attack someone each round (including allies if no enemies are around). 2) The only time you are allowed to try and end the Rage (as a Bonus Action) is at the end of your turn if you have not done any damage to any creature, you can make another Save (Charisma or Wisdom, your choice) DC = 25- the number of rounds you have raged.

What would happen, mechanically and lorewise, when a dhampir is infected with lycanthropy? I’m looking for both RAW and homebrew solutions.
Only spilt the party if you see something shiny.
