I searched the forum and google, but couldn't find any other mention of this.....
But, has anyone else been having trouble finding the survey link for the One DnD Character Creation feedback? I've downloaded and read the Unearthed Arcana for character origins (it tells me I've "claimed" it). But in the one dnd compendium (under sources) there is no survey link, etc. that I can find? Only the "Character Origins" link and a mention that Feedback will begin on September 1st.
I'm wondering if this is a "me" problem, since I'm not seeing mention of other folks having trouble finding it.
Hey, if you've read through the new rules but haven't actually playtested them, is there any real issue with responding? My biggest gripe has been with what I guess I'd call the philosophical design choices of One D&D, as well as how it affects existing 5e content and people like me that prefer to stick with that framework. I'm not sure where else to send those concerns.

They ask if you have playtested, but still allow comments on specific parts if you haven't.
At the end of the survey, there's a box for "additional comments"
Plus they don't want to know if you played the acolyte as they failed to include it as an option of whether or not you tested it. You can say that you were satisfied/dissatisfied, but it was kind of sad that they missed it in one and not the other.
Thanks. I'm not against 6e existing but I'm definitely against it overwriting my previously purchased content (licensed or not) even if the overwrite is described as an update.
I got it to work fine. It bogged down about part way through, but must be due to high traffic.
You can participate if you've read but not actually played with the new rules.
As mentioned, they also have a final place for you to include your comments.
Who knows if they'll actually read any of the comments. I'd like to think they will, but it would almost require a full-time staff devoted only to that for WOTC to parse through all the comments and somehow interpret/analyze what all of the written comments actually mean. To use the written comments as "data" they'd have to somehow convert those to a numerical system that can be analyzed. (Imagine trying to convert the massive volume of written comments to some sort of meaningful numeric system and analyzing those data....perhaps they'll just sort of get a "feel" for what comments are saying by having employees generally read through them?).
The "survey" results (of "satisfied", "very satisfied", etc.) will be easier to analyze, as they can easily import all responses into a spreadsheet and assign ranks to responses etc. for data analysis.
Regardless, I'm glad they provided the opportunity for us to give feedback again.
I hope they read all the comments. The survey was kind of weak without them. Dissatisfied doesn't say much without context because some things I thought could be implemented better but don't feel need to be gone but without my comment who knows what they think dissatisfied means.

I would more likely chalk that up to just WotC being generally bad at technology and often releasing digital polls and materials that are incomplete, than a more malicious reason.

They'll definitely do some parsing of the free text data, on a survey for a push this big. There are plenty of statistical analysis tools for analyzing free text fields in surveys.
I'm just not sure how they would handle going through them, if there's high a high participation rate? Seems like there would be alot of participation in this survey. I can't imagine dealing with reading the comments of 100 people and trying to determine what they mean (aside from a simple "good" or "bad", which doesn't capture much context). If there are thousands of comments it would be a huge undertaking. But perhaps there are an army of willing interns pouring through it as we speak.
BUT...I guess that's why the folks in charge of marketing and game design at WOTC "make the big bucks"!!! They get to worry about figuring all of this out! :)

Not online yet. Wait a couple of hours.
In the past, surveys have been on the wizards site, not here. Of course, in the past, wizards didn’t own here, so maybe that will change?
Either way, it’s only been Sept.1 for a few hours. We on the west coast (where wizards is) haven’t even gone to work yet.
Gotcha.
According to the FAQ on One DnD, the survey is going to be in the One DnD compendium page on DnD beyond.
Either way, that's makes sense that it might not be active yet.
Thanks.
so when does it go live then, because for me, it's almost 11am, it's been September 1st for nearly half a day already.
For me it’s almost 5pm
For WotC it isn't even 9am yet

The survey is live now.
Got a link? Still can't find it
it is under sources right next to the download button for the UA.

It keeps crashing when moving between pages for me. Either there is a boatload of people using it or they don’t actually care about the feedback.
