I've been wanting to play D&D game but I don't have a friends time or space to get people together to play again so how do I play a D&D game by myself that wouldn't diminish the experience

I’m not making fun, because I absolutely understand the desire to do it, but wouldn’t that basics just be writing a short story? Or maybe a novel if the campaign goes long enough?
2. Use an oracle. An oracle is a DM simulation that outputs different prompts for setting a scene or different responses to questions by rolling dice. A good example is the Solo Adventurer's Toolbox (DM's Guild)
3. Use a combination of an oracle and a published adventure for a full party. For this you usually play more than one PC or a PC with a sidekick. A great example is using DM Yourself (DriveThruRPG) with Dragon of Icespire Peak
Option #1 is the easiest, but most restrictive. I like all three for different situations.
i'm a dad with young kids and i don't get consistent play time. it's impossible to commit to a weekly tabletop night or even a group online. sometimes i'll have rolled up a critical mass of idle characters yearning to be set loose. if a few have unique voices, i'll open up a google doc and toss them together into an adventure i want to DM myself one day. i have a separate DM voice and player voices and it reads not unlike a script or a rapid-fire play-by-forums: "DM: Pique, roll for persuasion." "TPK: Persuasion (Cha): 1d20+6=12. 'Rush the big one,' PK shouts. 'We can't lose!'" ...it's pretty engaging and always there for me. it sure beats rolling up another lvl 1 concept character.

unhappy at the way in which we lost individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
tell them you don't like features disappeared quietly in the night: providefeedback!
How about AD&D for solo play. This is the edition I know best.
No idea and there’s probably not a lot of AD&D players on these forums who’ve also tried solo play to tell you. Looks like you’ll have to try it out for yourself

I would recommend dmsguild.com, selecting your edition on the left and in the search typing "solo". There's usually some solo game pdfs available.

I am not sure about 5e. Both both basic and 1e had adventures for you to solo play without a DM. If anything you can just easily convert it to 5e.
I’ve done slo play with pretty much every edition. The biggest problem is metagaming as you need to be familiar with the module to ru. It but have to play he PCs as not knowing all the stuff you know. The other problem can be giving real voice to the various personalities of your PCs.
Same I have no dnd friends to play or learn with! Do you know if dnd beyond has a solo option
What would you want DDB to do? It's basically glorified character sheets so they'd definitely be useful in solo play but if you're expecting an option to generate a campaign for you to play through I'm afraid it's not the right place for that and it doesn't do that for standard multiplayer campaigns either
Check out this YouTuber Geek Gamers she has a YouTube video about everything solo. And watch this video from Trevor Noah a YouTuber 9 Tips for Solo RPGs, and you will be on a good start down this journey. I have a blog I just started you can view below I do on my solo gaming, I also give tips on Solo RPG's and I would be happy to answer questions if you have any about solo gaming.

It totally could be from what I understand
There's three basic ways of doing solo D&D:
1. Use a module written for solo play. These are sometimes called gamebooks. Some examples: The Saint's Tomb (itch.io) or Death Knight's Squire (DM's Guild).
