Late reply but regarding the Arcane Locks I decided characters using the suggested infiltration method where they replace guards or cooks get authorised to open the Arcane Locks on arrival.
However I decided the cooks could only open a handful of doors that they needed to go about their business.
So, on arrival you meet the guard captain or the warden and you get added to the appropriate list of identities on the Arcane Lock access lists. If you sneak in you have an awful lot of locked doors to worry about.
It’s terrible. From the very premise. A top max security prison holding the very worst and most dangerous prisoners in the world… suitable for 4th level characters. Come on really? Does that sound even remotely plausible?
Yes, absolutely. Clearly, dragons don't go to jail. But furthermore, I'm my games, basically everyone except the PC's and certain enemies and bosses are classless mooks.

Blanket disclaimer: I only ever state opinion. But I can sound terribly dogmatic - so if you feel I'm trying to tell you what to think, I'm really not, I swear. I'm telling you what I think, that's all.
Well, personally, it really depends on the play style of your group. If it’s more of a hack-and-slash, definitely don’t do it. But if they’re a careful group that makes calculated decisions, definitely do it. Really, it just comes down to the play style of your group. Mine is hack-slash-seduce, so there’s no way I could do it. I hope you can find a good campaign for your group!

A wizard opens a rift in the wall in front of you, walks through, and eyes you, eyes glowing a brilliant blue. “Where are the beans?” He says menacingly, gritting his teeth in frustration. Suddenly squirrels pour out of the rift and swarm over you.
Hi. I really like squirrels, reading, and D&D (obviously). Uh, yeah. I also GM 👍.

My understanding from the module is that the players can use the breakers map they were given to unlock one door at a time.
