Forever DM here. I am fiddling with race choices for a Tabaxi character that might become a Dhampire due to the player's choices and gameplay. I don't see a way to integrate the existing Tabaxi traits with the new Dhampire ones on the D&D Beyond Character sheet builder. For now, I will handle it manually but just in case. Does anyone know if this function will become available in the future? or advise if it already is and I am just doing it wrong?
My guess is homebrew a copy of damphire with the movespeed/ skills from tabaxi. Would be nice if they had a wizard or a drop-down to apply original race to lineages.
The homebrew idea is a good one and I did not consider that until now. Thank you. As it is, I can manually insert a lot of the Dhampire traits onto the D&D Beyond character sheet. Modify dark vision, and movement, and even apply notes for the Deathless nature. It's the new bite attack and its benefits that I cannot add. Going old school for now and the player will have a customized dagger to act as their teeth. With notes for feeding pasted to the item. Would be very nice if the D&D wizards could code the Ancestral Legacy adjustments in the character builder.

Game on.
What exactly are you trying to add. I quickly made a Tabaxi fighter to test this. From the character sheet I was able to change the move speed to 35 feet and with a custom action create a Dhampir bite that does 1d4+CON modifier. They both have darkvision, and you can keep any racial skills so I was able to just keep the Tabaxi character sheet and add the few things that were missing.
That is pretty much the way I am doing it right now (except for the custom action I will need to figure that one out.) I was just wondering if the builder had a quick way to quickly integrate Lineages such as Dhampire, Hexblood, and Reborn. Perhaps in the future, D&D Beyond will work that out. For now, it sounds like the manual method...Now to figure out how to add a custom action.

Go to the character sheet (not the builder), in the Actions section where you can select All, Attacks, Action, Bonus Action, etc. on the right side you should see "Manage Custom", click on that, under Add New Actions drop down menu select Weapon. It will create a custom action (will display above the drop down menu). Now click on that custom action and click Edit. You can select the attack type (I used natural), the stat it uses (CON), die type (d4), dice count (1), Damage type (piercing), Click the Proficient box and Display as Attack box and Change the name to whatever you want (I used Dhampir Bite). And that's it. It will show on the sheet, not quite with the other actions (if you are on the "ALL" tab) like your weapon attacks, but scroll down and it is under "Other" or select the Other tab (next to Reactions.
Edit: this was on PC, so it might show up a little different on the app or your phone
Why are you starting with Tabaxi? you can change the character to Damphir and then just need to add skills and movement speed right? That should be easier than tracking custom actions ect. "if you replace a race with this lineage, you can keep the following elements of that race: any skill proficiencies you gained from it and any climbing, flying, or swimming speed you gained from it."
Should the worse happen and the character fails to mitigate vampirism I now know how to allow a character to play as a full-fledged vampire spawn - then free vamp. Thanks to D&D Beyond post from Kyle Shire: Playing as a Vampire!
Tried you Suggestion Noksa. D&D Beyond does not register the original race. So those racial abilities must be custom created. EXAMPLE: Tabaxi Cat Claws, Feline Agility, and Cats Talent.
In conclusion, both options work and require hands-on customization. Thank you Noksa and ThriKreenWarrior for your insights. Game on!
Good luck, didn't think of that since RAW only mentioned move speed and proficiency. Sidenote, thanks Thrikreenwarrior for the tip on how to make a non str or dex attack on my char sheet.

You lose nearly all your original racial abilities, including cat claws, feline agility, cats talent, etc. You keep languages, skill proficiencies, and some things Tabaxi don't have: climbing, swimming, flying speed. And your ability increases change. You might as well just change the race to dhampir and put in the description that you look like a half undead Tabaxi. :) Oh, and keep your old languages. You don't need to create everything from scratch. If you had a climbing, swimming, or flying speed, it would be different.
Tabaxi Have a climbing speed but I understand your point. I just don't see them losing their cat's claws or feline agility. They are after all still Tabaxi...Just enhanced with vampiric powers. Thank you for your insights. I know how I am going to handle this on the Digital character sheets.

Oh, I see, the climbing speed is listed under cat's claws (which they lose as a Dhampir) and not under Speed (Tabaxi - DND 5th Edition (*******.com). But yeah, you're the DM, if you want to keep the claws, sure. I posted about the Dhampir issue here: Dhampir conversion - Bugs & Support - D&D Beyond General - D&D Beyond Forums - D&D Beyond (dndbeyond.com).
