Xalthu is correct. Personally, I'd have them have an aversion since water generally limits the potency of fire...but that's a personal view. You can do whatever you like. There's no right or wrong answer, since there are no mechanical implications per se particular to Fire Genasi.
If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Make her hydrophobic and create valid reasons why she is. Perhaps she nearly drowned, or had to run away or fight off a water elemental. DMs love this level of creative thought.

Enjoy your slop. I'll be enjoying good products elsewhere.
I read through this topic because I'm playing as a Fire Genasi for a campaign I am in that is starting probably next week. I'm going with your idea lol

Hi all,
I recently made a fire genasi fighter and im wondering how she would react to water in general?
Mechanically, no differently than any other character. If you want to add in some kind of rp flavor, that’s between you and your DM.

I wasn't thinking on a mechanic way. but yes you are correct i should talk about it with my DM to see what we can add to enrich the RP :)
Maybe they just don't like large bodies of water and paddle only like a dog/dive with their nose pinched shut. XD

Or go the other way - they are fascinated by water because it’s so different from their nature.

I made a Fire Genasi Cleric of Auril for the Icewind Dale module. :)
