This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I give my players the choice between 4d6 drop lowest or Standard Array. I personally prefer 4d6 drop lowest.
While I should have everybody roll, I have recently had my new players use the array. I hated seeing a first time player rolling shit stats. Altering the generation method just for them or having them get re-rolls when nobody else did seemed unfair. With Standard Array you are given a set of numbers that are the same a everybody else.

I have my players roll 4d6 multiple times ( in front of if needed) and they take the first set of rolls that has nothing lower than a 9 and at least 3 rolls of 13+. This allows them to multiclass if they want, gives them decent starting stats and frequently allows non fighter classes to actually get one or two feats rather than ASIing themselves to death to get decent stats.
