ok so bare with me. i have a dragonborn who was bit by a werewolf. but with the draconic blood we were thinking going more dino like. i have notices i would have to homebrew the feat or race. but i not being a pro at homebrewing things to actually work. can someone with more dnd beyond knowledge help me make this or if someone has made something like it that would be a great help.
Hello, all I am a new player. i have watched many games, all online of course. I am beyond excited to play. i have even thought about being a DM after a few games.
i am a mother of a chaotic toddler so my schedule is always up in the air.
Well, the easiest way to do this, mechanically, would be to multiclass into Barbarian and take the Beast subclass, but making you change classes just to get access to a transformation without having to homebrew. Lycan Bloodhunter would have a similar effect. You could also change your race to Shifter, which gives you a transformation as well, but you'll lose basically all your Dragonborn features. Really anything that gives you some kind of transformation could be flavored as the result of your lycanthropy.
Probably go with the werewolf bonuses/curse, but just flavor text the appearance.
Without a feat/class that can control the transformation, I suspect when the werewolf change kicks in, you're going to go NPC. THat's why it is a curse to be a lycanthrope, and not everyone rushes out to be bitten by them.
Bloodhunter is a good option, IMHO. DM could work with you on a feat, or a magic item, that moderates the curse and lets you gain advantages from it.
