A friend of mine is planning on running a Zelda/BOTW D&D campaign, set a few years before the Second Great Calamity. I've been struggling to think of what character I want to make, so I decided I'd consult you guys for some ideas or inspiration. In terms of races, we're using the abilites of dnd races for Zelda races, so Hylians are Elves/Half Elves, Rito are Owlin or Aarakocra, Zora are Triton, Gorons are Tortles, Bokoblins are Goblins, etc. If you have any character concepts/backstory ideas let me know!
I do like the idea of a Goron Anthropologist wandering around Hyrule trying to understand non-rock based cuisine and writing travel guides for other gorons
There's an actual play one-shot by Critical Role that takes place just before Tears of the Kingdom, and everyone is playing fun takes on Zelda tropes. I think that could be a good spot to get some inspiration.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
