Hello. I am a DM attempting to create an advanced system for weapon crafting in a 5e game and I have come across a problem. I have been trying to locate costs for materials (wood, stone, bronze, iron, mithral and adamantine to be specific) and have yet to locate the proper cost for any of them. Does anyone have a proper estimate for what most of these materials would cost per pound of material? Thank you.
Not an exhaustive list, as there isn't one, but it's the place to start and a reference. Wood would probably be between salt and iron, depending on the type of wood. Rarer woods obviously being more expensive. Mithril is an extremely rare metal with its secrets being heavily guarded. It would be very unlikely to uncover a natural mine and being a magical metal would be too expensive for any basic trade.
