I think I am part mad scientist and part specialist. I tend to play the sneaky sneaky most of the time, jumping in to help out and deal precise damage when needed then backing off to wreak havoc in other amusing ways. At the same time I am the scribe of our campaign taking notes and gathering intel as needed so I like to experiment with my the environments to see what exactly we can get away with.
I voted for several because I tend to cover them all.
Tactician because I will concoct methods to engage the enemy even if I wouldn't normally be able to (one battle saw me flying through the air repeatedly to take swings at a water elemental, using a magic sword that exploded you away if you touched it, and using the elemental itself to turn my boat into a catapult).
Method Actor because I will tend to get into the character and stay there. I have also adopted my characters mistrust of Ducks into my everyday life.
Story Teller because I love making the stories and focus on this above just doing combat. I've transitioned to DM to accommodate this part of my enjoyment more!
Casual Player, because it's about what happens, not about making what happens be that we win everything. I enjoy playing the game, not "winning" it.
Mad Scientist because I make homebrew items & monsters which fit that bill very well, generally through my former-PC-now-NPC Griswold "Gizmo" Grayling, the artificer. He's made a lot of weird stuff!
Butt-kicker as I often want to punch stuff, shoot stuff, stab stuff, and generally blow off a bit of steam.
Specialist since my characters tend to be tough guys in trench coats ( Although sometimes I don't even mean them to be! )
Storyteller since my characters tend to be original and 3-dimensional so I have fun RP'ing them.
I've known many people to be Specialists though, there's the guy who always plays some edgelord, or the guy who plays a spellcaster who likes to invent stuff, or wants to be an anime character.
I've never really been the casual guy, although I respect the playstyle.
I yo-yo between Butt Kicker/Method Actor depending on if we are role playing or fighting. I go all out on both.
Power Player to the point where I make my character as mechanically as strong as possible to optimize the butt kicking, but I stop there. I don’t care about having all the best magic items, or “breaking the game” or whatever.
I'm definitely a combination of Storyteller and Method Actor. I'm very dependent on what my character thinks or what my character would do. But I'm also very invested in whatever story my DM is telling, and want my character to be a part of it.

Is there an option for players who really, really like to experiment with unusual character builds? Anyway, in practice I'm usually a Casual Gamer but the Storyteller playstyle appeals to me in theory (it's just that my social anxiety inevitably trips me up most of the time I attempt it lol). Eh...I'll say Storyteller.
I'd say tactician primarily with a healthy side of Storyteller and Mad Scientist. Those kind of fit my preferred DM-ing style too (which I do much more often than play)
I am so many of these, depending on the character I play. I am usually the guy who comes up with the plan (And however wacky it is, people go along with it), however I also build powerful characters and am always super into my roleplay.

None of the above because most of these read like they're written as pejoratives or describing problematic player behavior.

I'd say storyteller with a bit of mad scientist.
I'd say mainly story teller, with a bit of mad scientist and tactician. But still mainly story teller.
I am an average mathematics enjoyer.

Story-teller, Method Actor, and Power Player.
I start out with an idea, optimize it to the highest power level, then, carefully develop an intricate backstory for extra RP poteintial.

As a PC, I'm a mix of a Power Player, Tactician, and Storyteller. As a DM, I'm a Storyteller and Mad Scientist.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:

For me, it's tactician (I come up with really weird tactical ideas ideas really quickly - and often the DMs don't even understand them).
I'm also a method actor (I am the CHARACTER, not the PLAYER, Jim!)
I am also a storyteller (always.)
And finally (of course), I am a MAD SCIENTIST. Beware my Bluetspurean brain!
