I'm a bit nervous about making my custom race public right now, as it hasn't been player tested, but want to allow my own players to use it. Is there a way to publish it without having to make it public? If so would my players be able to see and use it in a homebrew campaign? I can resort to paper but I'd like to get all my players to use the same method.
I could have sworn to share private homebrew a sub was required, but the mod knows more than I. Either way, if the players can't see the race when they are in your campaign, you can manually edit their characters while they are in your campaign and set them as the homebrew race yourself. If they change it you may have to reset it back yourself again. Whenever I need to homebrew something I always manually add it to their character instead of letting them add it.
At the very first page of the character creation process, where you'd set whether you're using encumbrance, EXP, Critical Role content, there's an option for Homebrew content. You should enable that on their characters, and give it to them.

No need to make the homebrew public.
If it is enough to create a campaign and invite your players in. No need for a subscription either.
Yeah but how can I allow them to see and use the custom race?
It is automatic as long as they are in your campaign.
I can't seem to view that myself but I'll have a player go in a test it on their own account. Thanks man :)
