I'm playing a marshal character a Champion fighter. I am duel wielding two scimitars. I've taken the Two Weapon Fighting Style that states, " When you make an extra attack as a result of using a weapon that has the Light property, you can add your ability modifier to the damage of that attack if you aren’t already adding it to the damage."
This description is so misleading to me. As it feels like this description is for nonmartial characters. It mentions nothing about applying the Ability Modifier to the BA off hand.
Now for the Duel Wielder feat. I want to know if I'm reading this right. "Enhanced Dual Wielding. When you take the Attack action on your turn and attack with a weapon that has the Light property, you can make one extra attack as a Bonus Action later on the same turn with a different weapon, which must be a Melee weapon that lacks the Two-Handed property. You don’t add your ability modifier to the extra attack’s damage unless that modifier is negative."
Since the Scimitars have the "Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn."
Does this mean on my attacks in conjunction with Enhanced Dual Wielding and Nick this allows me to strike two more times?
Because why would I take the Duel Wielder Feat when Nick does the same thing during my main attack action. If I can only attack once as a bonus action to begin with?
Here's my thinking I have two attacks with both weapons having the Light/Nick property= Attack1, Attack2, Nick: Attack3, and Bonus Action Attack4.
Here's my thinking with same weapons with Enhance Duel Wielding= Attack1, Attack2, Nick: Attack3, Bonus Action Attack 4, Enhance Duel Wielding Attack5.
These rules have mystified many of us and there is a lot of discussion online on how to interpret them. However, a common interpretation that I share is this:
Nick says "When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn."
The this extra attack refers to the extra attack of the Light property. This means you can't benefit a second time from the Light property on the same turn. Your second attack does not give you a second extra attack from the Light property.
This is also how the Nick property was described before release in the Guide to Weapon Mastery
Hence:
Without the Feat: Attack 1, Attack 2, Nick: Attack 3. Now you have your Bonus action free for other stuff, like drinking potions.
With the Feat: Attack 1, Attack 2, Nick: Attack 3, Bonus Action Attack from Dual Wielder Feat: Attack 4.
Alternatively, there are some people who believe you don't get any extra attack from the Dual Wielder feat, and in both cases you only get 3 attacks, with the only advantage of the feat being that the third attack is upgraded to a non-Light weapon. That would make the feat much weaker, would actually clash with Nick, and make two weapon fighting basically infeasible for anyone other than a Rogue, but it's how some people want to read it. We can only hope WotC will clarify soon.
Per Treantmonk it was confirmed by Devs that Dual Welder feat bonus action extra attack can be in addition to the one from Light Property with Nick Mastery.
Update on today's video: Someone I know asked Jeremy Crawford about Dual Wielder at Gencon, and here's how it works: It provides a single bonus action attack, so if you are using a weapon with the Nick Mastery that's one more attack. Two Weapon Fighting does add your ability score modifier to the damage of the extra attack.

That was the Dungeon Dudes that asked JC during GenCon at the WotC panel and he confirmed this. Of course, this is not going to change the minds of those DMs that already made up their minds

Others have covered the rest already, but not this.
Normally, the extra attacks you make due to Light, Light+Nick, and DW don't get the damage bonus. TWF covers all of these, as they are all extra attacks that you make as a result of using a weapon that has the Light property. (If your weapon didn't have it, you wouldn't get them.) "Extra attack" is not a term with special meaning in the rules.

Yeah definitely more useful to DMs interested in RAI take from Devs than those who aren't.
