How can I add the component "You can cast it once without a spell slot, and you regain the ability to cast it in that way when you finish a Long Rest. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have." to a homebrew class added spell
Class features -> Class Feature Options -> Actions The description there, and each of the prior descriptions in the prior sections. After filling each of those, I've had them show up on custom classes. But I don't know the exact associations to what section on the character sheet.
That is not what I am trying to do. I have a subclass that at certain levels gives learned spells. I would then be able to cast that spell without using a spell spot at least once then can cast afterwards with a spell slot. Similar to how magic adept feat gives access to a 1st level spell.
One will have Uses Spell Slot: No, Limited Use 1 and Reset on Long Rest. The other will have no limited uses set and Uses Spell Slot: Yes.
Only works for Species and Subclass. The "uses spell slot: yes" is not available when adding a spell via a feat.

What I'm describing does exactly what you are trying to do. That is LITERALLY how I've used it to build a custom sub-class with granted abilities just like that, that show up on the character sheet in either Actions or feats & Traits.
You'd probably want to go Class features -> Class Feature Options -> Spells Under spells you can check of whether it consumes a spell slot there. But it is all in that Class Feature section to how you add, abilities, spell abilities, etc.

The description of the ability. Should show up on Actions, feats & Traits.
Ive attempted everything associated with that but not working

Add spell twice.
