Has anyone got any experience with the new one shot pack in the store? I'm considering running it for a Xmas one shot (duh), but I'd like to hear from anyone that's played them or at least read them as to how good they are.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
The Snowborn(Play as a Small one, shenanigans follow...just don't get magically aged...I'LL FIND A WAY..Of playing Jack Frost(from the horror movie, not the wholesome, Santa Clause or Rise of the Guardians ones), Canisar(Dash w/an actually usable in combat Burrow Speed, & the Rogue builds are insane(I can make a stupid Buster from Christmas is Here Again obscure pop culture build)) & the magic items(ESPECIALLY the 5 Golden Rings) are what you buy it for.
Fans of dragons will be pleased with one of the original monsters, of which there are too few in this IMO. But the ones we get are quality ones.
If you like holiday 1-shots, this pack ain't half-bad. It's a little too SRD-reliant for my tastes, but the spirit is there. The references are on point for public domain ones.
The Hederan(Why is the living Christmas Tree w/Christmas plants growing out of it NOT a Plant?!..still, I plan to make one that has Poinsettias growing out of her head) & the Tarandus(ZzzzzzZZZ...Boring Rudolph...zzzzzzZZZzzz) are eclipsed by Gnarlborn from The Crooked Moon & the Mandrake from the Valda's Pack, and the Cervan from Humblewood, respectfully, in nearly every way. They're borderline trap options if you're heavily into Partnered Content like myself.

Once made Maxwell's Silver Hammer come down upon Strahd's head to make sure he was dead.
Always study & sharpen philosophical razors. They save a lot of trouble.
I bought it in the end, my group decided they wanted an Xmas One-shot. It's certainly a different format to the typical WotC style.
Is it me, or does it seem like there's stuff missing? Particularly, in Blessing of the Drake, it says the cave is marked in the map...but when I go to the only map it's showing me, there didn't seem to be a map with a cave marked. In the next adventure, instructs you to read out a note, which suggests there should be a note to read out... but there isn't. Neither are big deals. The last point may be that hey want you to write your own note. But it does feel like there is stuff missing.

It is t bad. It’s these cute adventures using one map and theatre of the mind and then reskinned enemies that are in the monster manual. The adventures are designed so adults and children alike can have fun and enjoy the content. And they’ve supplied a whole campaign map in case you’d like to play in that world. So 5 combat maps for each adventure and a world map with locations and info along with them. You’re getting a lot of content for $15. Your family and friends will be entertained for the holidays and a whole world to play in.

I think that's a result of their format, One Shot Wonders tries to get everything on a two page spread in their hard copy books which often leaves things feeling either very short for afull session or things feeling sacrificed for the space
Makes sense...but it's odd that it's referring to things that aren't there? Like the allegedly marked cave...the map doesn't even show a cave, much less a marked one?
I'm also a bit confused...
A Great Fir Drake, CR15, is attacked, wounded, and driven off by a Young White Dragon, CR6, and a handful of Kobolds? Now it needs the party's help to defeat the YWD? It doesn't seem feasible...the GFD should be able to take out the YWD in two rounds while being able to withstand it for ten.
