What is the funniest thing your players have ever done? For me, I think it would have been when my players were fighting a stone golem or rock golem, and they pulled out a piece of parchment and said, "Paper beats rock!" and I let them kill it.

You let your players trivialize a CR 10 with less than a silver piece worth of adventuring gear?
What is it with people on this site hating fun? Anyway, they broke into some witches house and the warlock demanded at sword point that they become best friends. The witch ran away and got eldritch blasted. The warlock then proceeded to carry her corpse around as a pet.
My players Used a god tier item that they weren't supposed to get to make something like a Mythal around a large city that made it so people inside the area can't lie. This was the "City of Deceivers and grand triumph of the lord of lies" and they were all stuck in a god level Zone of Truth. I then rewrote the adventure where people who were used to lying would just blurt out the truth.
"I want to eat your organs! I am trying to lure you into this alley." was a good sign that you couldn't trust someone. It was always this extreme.
The Players then adored a tavern keeper who introduced himself with, "I sell cheap beer because i have poor taste. This city should be burned down and I want to flirt with your paladin but am too shy to say so!" They made me make him a recurring character. And by they I mean the paladin. She wanted to hear what unhinged things he said about her.
She made me look up horrible pick-up lines. I could have said no to the whole thing, but seeing how these formally shy, nervous players in gremlins with a good cause was absolutely delightful. The Campaign shifted from "web of Intrigue" to "We are fixing this entire city's people."
