With Foundry, you need to click the Beyond20 icon in the Foundry tab any time you load/reload the page so Beyond20 knows where the page is. If you use The Forge (https://forge-vtt.com) for hosting your Foundry games, then it's not required and it will just work.

Of course it does because everything on the forge just works.... :)
So I just started using this extension, and I think I'm missing some very basic details on how this works. For example, I don't see any ability to link a Beyond character sheet to my Roll20 game. I have so much more content here than on Roll20, to the point that I have to manually enter almost all of a character sheet in Roll20, and I'm sure I'm messing up some of the math by doing that. How can I use this extension to use my proper Beyond character sheet in Roll20? Thank you!

The purpose of Beyond20 is so that you don't need to input anything into a Roll20 character sheet. In Roll20, the only thing you need is a blank "dnd5e by roll20" char sheet linked to a token for hp tracking. The character name on that sheet must match your DDB character name here. After that, you simply use your character sheet and all the info that's on it right here. Any rolls you make here, show up in the Roll20 chat, and any hp adjustments made here update your token on Roll20. You don't need to input anything into Roll20 or ever look at that sheet.

Thank you! I could NOT understand this, because I wasn't looking for the Beyond20 icon on my Beyond sheet. Now that I have both windows open and see this, it's awesome. Thanks!
I am running into an issue lately where my changes to the Beyond20 sliders to activate and de-activate certain settings is not updating at all.
For example. I have a barbarian who is always raging according to beyond20 and will always do the rage enhanced rolls. I also cannot enable the Great weapon master effect for said character either.
Another example is i have a Fighter Renegade (from the league of legends classes that were added for a short time) that has sharpshooter consantly on but when i make attacks with his ranged weapon (sniper shot) it does not calculate sharpshooter as being used.

It's quite rare, but I've seen some people having this issue and I think I finally figured out the cause, and it might be related to size limit on the chrome sync settings, and it would happen for users who have too many characters I think. The next release should hopefully fix it.

If it does help anything, i am using Firefox not Chrome.

I'm not sure if it's related. I know that Chrome users also get it, though I've seen more FF users with it. It might be related to the "sync" feature itself, i.e: If you're not 'logged in" to firefox so it syncs your data across all your devices. That's the storage where I store all the settings. In the dev version, I've moved it to local storage only (which has a quota of 5MB instead of 8KB on the sync storage).
I am not in fact logged in so there is no syncing going on. If that is the case though it could be a cache issue with the browser right?
It might be that it affects it. I don't really know honestly how it's supposed to act if you're not logged in. It works for me on FF (in which I'm not logged in), but it might have some kind of different limitations.
Regardless, next release should be using local storage only, so hopefully that would eliminate all those problems.
The "auto roll damage and crit" option doesn't seem to work, even after it says "saved." It just automatically turns it back on after it's been turned off. It seems this is a known issue from the FAQ. Just curious if that's something that's still pending or I'm just doing something wrong. Thanks.

This has been fixed in the developer's version so you can expect it to work when the next release is out. Note that if you disable the digital dice support, it will work as you expect it.
Are there any instructions on how to use Beyond20? I've installed the extension and now I'm completely stuck.
EDIT: figured it out.
In case anybody else is trying to parse this, you have to: #1 - install the extension. #2 - set up a character sheet on Roll20 with the same name as the character you want to use from DDB. #3 - open up the Roll20 campaign & the DDB character sheet in the same browser. #4 - make all character die rolls in DDB, and they will carry over to Roll20.
Firstly, I just, really, want to thank you for this UNBELIEVABLY FREE extension. It just makes roll20 bearable to use, as none of my peers have any time to figure out all the dice commands, macros and whatnot (myself included). I've read through all 362 posts of this thread's history just in case I missed some tasty detail about it.
One thing I've noticed is, when rolling Initiative, wait- hear me out-, it doesn't show the B20 button when it's all compressed on a small window. I initially thought it wasn't reflecting on roll20 like most post have mentioned here.
*attempts to post a screenshot on this forum post*
*it requires an image hosting link, so I got lazy*
I had to resize my window to a state before it does all that CSS-flexboxing-whatever. If the window is big enough, the Quick-access B20 button for Initiative appears. When the window is too small/thin, it resizes like the DndBeyond app, or as you would see your character sheet when using mobile.
Another thing I noticed, which I really liked, was the option to add +1d4 to attack rolls or damage rolls. I assumed this is supposed to support buffs like BLESS. I would like to suggest if you could also support -1d4 (negative 1dx) on attack rolls. I tried, but I can't seem to get it applied properly; It seems to work for damage rolls tho. My curiosity is mainly.. when characters use BANE, or other effects that apply a negative dice roll that lasts for more than 1 round.
Also, out of curiosity, since I got the HP sync, and TempHP sync working. I tried it with AC, it didn't work, I wasn't expecting it to work (This is why I read this whole thread). Would it be possible? since there's 3 blobs on roll20, I thought that the red blob would be for AC, so we don't have to keep asking what's your AC. Like, it fetches whatever total value is currently under Armor Class on DndBeyond-sheet. I thought it might be helpful, for when players ditch their shield, or when the naked Wizard casts Mage Armor.
Lastly, I would echo the request for a toggle hotkey for Whisper roll, like Alt+B20, but since it's already taken, I'll wait with whatever you have decided to grace upon us.

IS there a way to stop the side pop up on every roll on the PC sheet ? It's very annoying
The side pop up is a D&D Beyond feature which opens automatically when you click on something. And that's also what Beyond20 uses to know what to send. Without the side panel, Beyond20 has no way of knowing the details of what you're trying to roll. Actually, Beyond20 is rolled by clicking the Beyond20 button in the side panel, what you're currently used to clicking on, is the "Quick rolls" feature which was added in recent months and can be disabled from the options.
Short answer: no, it's an integral part of using Beyond20.

I miss read that as "bank statements"
@Auvergh: nice catch on the initiative not getting hooked in mobile view layout. I've fixed that yesterday so should be working on the next release!
As for bane, I'm pretty sure negative mods should work, but I'll test later and see if it's some new bug or something.
As for syncing, only HP is since it's a dynamic property. AC will generally remain the same for a long time, so you can manually edit it.
Hotkeys are... complicated, I don't have a good solution for now, and I've bumped that feature to the 2.3 release (not the next one, the one after).
