I like it because it adds useful fixes for dice rolling for specific class features like the bard of eloquence. Default D&D Beyond doesn't fix the rolls for persuasion to be minimum of 10 (or 9 what ever it is) where Beyond20 actually does fix this.
I am just not sure if this is a bug that can't be fixed or a bug that is unknown.
Most likely DDB roll formula not looking for Reliable Talent, Silver Tongue or Gibliness
To be clear, I understand what is happening here. I just wasn't sure if this was intended behavior or an unknown bug.
@Artemisthemp yeah, its kinda stupid how bad that a plugin fixes character sheet dice rolling instead of you know, this dice roller that cost between 8-15$... Honestly the crap support their dice roller provides to character abilities but cost that much is crazy. You can buy almost 10 sets of dice for around the same cost.
To be honest I get they are providing this service for free with special dice, but at that markup the service should freaking work.
@mouse0270 It's not an intended behavior but it's a known issue. The issue as MiG_77 explained is that Beyond20 uses the custom dice rolls (the button in the bottom-left corner) to do the rolls, so it doesn't have any modifiers in it (and if you roll an attack+damage, then it's all those dice bundled together). We do modify the html of the notification itself to fix it up to look nice, but we can't do it for the game log.
It is intended to be fixed, and I already started by writing an interceptor for the game log, which basically plugs into the message broker API and hijacks its methods to be able to modify the data being sent to the log, but I never finished that work. I've also spoken with the developer of the AboveVTT extension, who was interested in getting the full data sent to the log and he continued what I started and gotten further along that path (to completion I believe), I'll need to review what they did in their fork and merge it for the next release.
I'm sure this has been answered but how do I use a monster sheet from the encounter builder to show in foundry? Character sheet rolls are working fine.
I love the integration between D&D Beyond and Roll20 using the web browser interface! Nicely done! Yesterday, my group met in person for the first time since before March of last year, and rather than having seven laptops on the table (one of us was still remote, thus we're keeping the virtual connection), I tried the mobile app. It seemed to work pretty well, once I figured out where everything was located, but it (obviously) doesn't use Beyond20 and so doesn't hook into Roll20 for rolling dice. Is there a way to do this, or is it being planned? Thanks for the great tools!
I'm trying to figure out how to best use Beyond 20 with Roll20 and monsters in dndbeyond. Currently, I make tokens and place them on the Roll20 and make rolls from dndbeyond via Beyond 20. However, the token is not connected to the monster page to reflect things like HP, AC, or other stats that a token would normally have if connected to a sheet. Is there a way to connect a token in Roll20 with a monster page in dndbeyond?

1) I don't think there is a way to link them like that at this time
2) I'm not sure I would. In Roll20 itself if you link a Token Bar to HP on the NPC sheet, and change the HP on one creature it will change all of their HP. Example: You have a horde of Kobolds and you link the token's HP bar to the HP stat in the NPC Sheet. If one takes damage, and you alter that token, the HP will change on the sheet, and thus all the other Kobolds too.

@castor212 - which virtual tabletop are you rolling to?
When I used Roll20 and had Dice turned on in Roll20 and Dice turned on in DNDBeyond, I was getting double rolls. Once I turned off rolls in DnDBeyond, then I just got the 3D dice roll in Roll20.
I was just told that "sending data from DDB to Roll20 is a violation of the terms of service you agreed to when you made your account. Technically DDB can cancel your account and rescind all of the licenses you have purchased without refund for your breaking those rules."

for some reason beyond 20 is rolling twice for everything for me
Click on the Beyond20 button near the top of your character sheet. It may be set to Advantage rather than normal
no, its at advantage, but still roll twice. so total of 4 rolls.

Ok, it was indeed the rolls lol. Thanks, PirateSwayze!
This seems like such a difficult and time consuming process for GMS
Which process are you referring to?
Does this still work with Edge?
It's been working fine with Edge for me for the last few months.
how do you install it as an edge extension?
