i tried the Hold-the-“h” and click but it doesn’t allow me to actually click anything while that key is pressed (works fine if Alt, shift or Ctrl). Pressing h on its own doesn’t toggle the setting. And, it is actually not obvious that toggling that switch within the Beyond20 options window actually does anything - nothing obvious anyway
please help! It would be a shame to have those kind of hotkeys but not being able to use them
thank you
Did you actually configure the hotkey or you used someone else's "h" hotkey example? You have to define your own hotkeys in Beyond20 for specific toggles.
Actually found out that activating it via the Beyond20 option seems to work at least for attack spells (eg. Eldritch Blast) but did not see same for melee attacks
So I am still confused as to how to use these Hotkeys properly
When i use my laptop’s trackpad to hover over and then click on the Beyon20 roll icon beside the DDB box, all the while holding the Hatkey down, nothing happens
this is for hex blade's curse? If you enable it from the beyond20 menu instead of using the hotkey to toggle it, does it do anything?
Note that the hotkey doesn't toggle the option on/off when pressed, it instead temporarily toggle's it **while the hotkey is pressed**. That would only have an effect if your character can use that option (i.e: if you try to enable the hexblade curse option but your character doesn't have hexblade curse, then it would have no effect). If you do have it but it doesn't appear in the character specific options, then you have to make sure to go to the "Features & traits" panel in your character sheet, just as Beyond20 suggests, so it can parse your features and traits to know what options your character has.
Hopefully that helps.. otherwise I'm lost on what it could be.
To clarify, my character is indeed a Hexblade Warlock and I have “refreshed” Beyond20 by opening my Features panel in DDB
When I toggle that effect in the menu, it seems to work for spells (it showed the HC additional damage for Eldritch Blast). However, I did not see it when I used a weapon attack during that same battle
Also, as I mentioned previously, when I hold that “h” key, I cannot point and click on the Beyond20 icon beside the attack or damage rolls. Maybe it could work were it via a mouse, but I use the trackpad and buttons on my laptop and cannot “click”. Would it make a difference?
Sorry AGoudreault, I really don't know, I can't reproduce the issue, it works fine for me. And I'm not sure what your issue is with regards to not being able to click. If that's a trackpad issue, I wouldn't know as I don't use one.
Beyond20 seems to be interfering with the new Game Log for Campaigns. When I roll with it enabled all rolls come across as "Custom Roll" instead of the named roll, and only show the base dice roll, without any of the modifiers. I assume this is caused when Beyond20 goes to intercept the results to share with VTT. It's not a major problem, but it would be nice if it's fixable.

Interesting. I've not experienced this but then again, the very limited test I did of the new Game Log I did w/out having a VTT tab open at the same time. The Beyond20 popup did load, but the roll in the Game Log was correct and had the appropriate modifiers applied too

I'm seeing the same, Beyond20 shows the roll with the add ons, and it transfers to roll20 correctly, but the game log only shows the dice number rolled, and shows up as custom roll.
Skills, spell attacks and attacks show this way (custom roll) but damage comes into the log correctly.
The Game Log is still rather new, it's on my list of tasks to work with it and add proper handling of it, though I'm not yet sure if that can be fixed because Beyond20 rolls all the dice as a custom roll, and then modifies the "custom roll" notification with its own nicer output.
Regarding the new Game Log - as I mentioned in a previous post I had not experienced the "Custom Roll" effect. That is, until last night while running my weekly game.
However, this only seems to happen if Roll20 is open in another tab. If no VTT tab is open, the Game Log displays normally.

This might seem an odd question, but how do you turn off Beyond20? I don't mean permanently, just temporarily. I'm playing a session in the old "theater of the mind" and no-one is using a VVT, so every time I roll I get an additional box telling it me the result it tried to send to Roll20.

Right click on it in your browser, click Manage Extensions. Then just disable it. It'll still be installed but just turned off. you can go back to Manage Extensions and re-enable it later

You can also go to the settings and disable the "Quick roll area" option. That would mean beyond20 would only roll if you specifically click on the Beyond20 buttons in the sidebar. Note that Beyond20 does a lot of the automation that D&D Beyond doesn't necessarily do for you (if you want things like sneak attack, roll twice, super advantage, silver tongue or great weapon master feats, brutal critical dice, improved critical limits, etc..).
Here's another odd question. I keep getting html in my DNDBeyond character sheets in place of the Beyond20 die icon. I've deleted and ruploaded the app, but I still get the code. Below is an example of what I see with a Greater Potion of Healing. Any ideas?

I tried with both Foundry and Roll20 and I'm not saying the issue you've described.
What VTT is this happening on? or is it discord? Can you show a screenshot? Also it might be better to report it here directly : https://github.com/kakaroto/Beyond20/issues

I defined my own

You need to hold down down the hotkey on the keyboard and use the mouse to roll the attack from DnDbeyond (at the same time).
I just tested this and it works with hexblade and melee attacks

Do you have a virtual table top open?
At the time, yes. Roll20 with a game launched. All other rolls carry over, including the ADV and DIS ones
Sorry, run out of ideas
