The idea that DDB will ever have its own VTT seems laughable to me, and I genuinely believe it to be an impossible goal. They'd be better off working to implement a better API, and leave third-parties to create their own integrations.

The "job" of any product is to be useful. I've given an example use case that I believe would benefit many users. Perhaps you don't use the VTT the same way I do, but it would be useful for me if this extension could coordinate multiple devices for me. It's just a suggestion, perhaps there's a better solution to my problem, but here's hoping the creator is open to suggestions.

I guess it's not clear what it is you are asking for. Before the lockdowns my group played in person around a TV laid flat on a table using roll20 as the VTT. Players used beyond20 to send rolls to it (or roll real dice if they wanted) using laptops, chromebooks or tablets. I as the DM used my laptop to roll for monsters.
I use foundry for the vtt now but it's the same idea.
This would allow players on a tablet/laptop/phone to push rolls to a separate device perhaps acting as the game board (tv/monitor connected to PC). Would also be cool if this could detect the extension on the same network and push to an active vtt so multiple players in the same room could push to a central screen.
This is pretty much the exact definition of a VTT.
Hey guys, by no means am I trying to suggest the creator isn't incredibly generous and amazing. I'm just making a suggestion. I don't disagree that the VTT should handle it, and perhaps I'm not clear on the VTTs capability in this case. What I specifically want to do is have two devices connect to the VTT from a single account. I'm using my TV and PC to "watch" the table, and using my tablet device for my character sheet. I had tried in the past to connect to Roll 20 from two devices simultaneously and had issues doing that. My suggestion is around "cloud" functionality that would identify if another device authenticated to the same google account on the same network running beyond20 triggers an event, that beyond20 running on another device where there's a VTT tab open can "receive" that event and push it to the table. This might be overly complicated, and perhaps the VTT is capable.
Thanks for your reply PirateSwayze! I have tried mirroring/extending desktop to accomplish this in the last two sessions I played in. It was functional but a little laggy and frustrating, especially on battery. Performance improved plugged in.
Good news though: I just tested being authenticated and viewing a game from two devices and this seems to work well now! Not ideal for low powered mobile/tablet devices since it will need to render the table, however the capability is there and it ran flawlessly in my test on my pixel slate. I will try this method in my next session and report back.
Thank you for the feedback everyone!
Edit: Swayze deleted his post when he saw my reply lol

The issue you are up against is a limitation with the VTT. You don't say what VTT you are using but I got around this in Roll20 by just making a 2nd account. i don't see how Beyond20 could help with this. Foundry would be even easier.

Beyond20 doesn't need a login; it sends from DDB to whatever VTT tabs are open. In fact, I usually have to have both Edge and Chrome going because I like to login to my games as both the DM and a player so I can make sure when I reveal fog of war I know exactly what my players see but if I use two tabs in the same browser my DDB rolls show up twice in the Roll20 chat.
I think the issue @GrokThornsteed has here is that he wants two devices connected to the VTT using Beyond20, but Beyond20 isn't an app it's a browser plugin that only works with Firefox, Chrome or Edge (because Edge is really just a reskinned Chrome).

I'm not sure if it helps, but I know you can have multiple characters open in different tabs and they will send their own rolls to Roll20 via Beyond20.
@KakaRoToDM IDK if this the best place to submit suggestions, but I have an idea for what would be a huge QOL improvement for my games. It might be nitpicky so I apologize, and I understand if it can't be a priority or if it isn't feasible.
I currently use Beyond20 in three different games all hosted on different Discord servers, and I was greatly appreciative of the ability to save different codes in the options menu instead of having to copy and paste them each time (seriously, you've been influential in keeping my games alive this year, and I cannot thank you enough). Some of my players are playing on multiple servers as well, and there seems to be a consensus that switching which channel the rolls are sent to could be a bit more user friendly. Pretty much every time, someone forgets and ends up sending rolls to the wrong place. It's not a huge ordeal to then go in and change it, but it is a frequent inconvenience.
Currently, you have to go into the Beyond20 Options, then go into More Options, and then scroll to near the bottom to find the correct drop down option. Would it be possible to move that option to a more obvious place?
Another alternative to this would be to add support for Owlbear.rodeo, which is a stripped-down free VTT that I've started using. It does have integrated dice rolling though, so maybe that's possible. If so, the Discord issue would be negligible in that case.
Just wanted to throw that out there! Stay safe and thanks again for all of the work you've put into this amazing tool!
You should find a way to make it work out. I don't want to buy multiple copies of the same book. I want to have the digital maps and stuff available through roll20 but I really enjoy the app of dnd beyond. . .
I was wondering how the new HotKeys feature from the latest Beyond20 works. I have no issues with the Shift, Alt and Ctrl keys. However, I used the new HotKey linked to lowercase “h” to activate the Hexblade Curse for my character. The entry appears, along with the on-off toggle in the options window behind the Beyond20 button at the top of my DDB character sheet. However, I cannot seem to activate it with the letter assigned. Pressing “h” once doesn’t change the toggle, and shows no difference in my Attack I my Roll20 window. Holding “h” while clicking does not work at all (I cannot even bring the Beyond20 dice icon then).
How does on use these hotkeys? (The FAQ shows how to add them but not how to use them)
i tried the Hold-the-“h” and click but it doesn’t allow me to actually click anything while that key is pressed (works fine if Alt, shift or Ctrl). Pressing h on its own doesn’t toggle the setting. And, it is actually not obvious that toggling that switch within the Beyond20 options window actually does anything - nothing obvious anyway
please help! It would be a shame to have those kind of hotkeys but not being able to use them
thank you

That is definitely my wish too!

I don't want to buy multiple copies either which is why I buy on DDB and use foundry.
What is foundry?
Foundry is a very popular VTT due to offering so must customazation.
That said you have to know which mod suffer under Memory leak due to no longer being support or haven seen a update for a long time.

you use them from DnDbeyond to appear in roll20. Is Hexblade part of an attack action that requires a roll (sorry, never had this as a feature)?
If so, you would hold down "h" whilst clicking in DnDbeyond to roll the attack, which should then appear in roll20
So the method would be the same as the usual “hold and press/click something else” keys (Shift, et al.)?
I think so, but I'm very far from being an expert :)
