have you thought about having the ladyhawke option for Aelena and Amelia, Aelena gets stuck in an animal form and can only come out when the other player is actually playing and Amelia is questing to find a cure for her friends/mentors condition/curse.
For anyone not familiar with Ladyhawke its a film formt eh 80's, trailer here:
Animal domain cleric of Baphomet (chaotic neutral) - even better if she was a forest gnome, but she could be whatever.
Wait, hear me out. Set aside the association of Baphomet = chaotic evil for a second. At his core, Baphomet is all about embracing the wild and primal side of life. Baphomet might say, "How can you be content as slaves to the laws of weak rulers? Civilization is a shackle placed around the necks of the wilder races to keep them weak and subservient. Society is an artificial construct of humans and elves designed to tame stronger and more powerful individuals who dare to walk their own road and reject the so-called comforts of cities and towns."
So maybe this young lady learned of these beliefs and they struck a chord in her. Maybe she isn't as caught up in the savagery and chaos (or maybe she is) and she just wants to embrace the unspoiled natural world and reject the rules and confines of civilization. And maybe she interprets that message to mean there are people out there who want to embrace the wild and undeveloped forests. By taking the demon lord's message down a softer path, she can make better the lives of more people who would otherwise be scared off by the imagery of fire and destruction. And on the flipside, maybe Baphomet finds this odd little girl amusing. Maybe he wants to slowly corrupt her or maybe he doesn't care and allows her to clean up his image a bit in her own way as long as she remains untamed and values her connection to the wild world and its unruly beasts.
There are a few adjustments of which I should make you aware. The first is that as my DM allows all her players to have a free feat, she has allowed me to forgo my free feat, in exchange for the Fey Presence of the Feylock, with the following modifications.
Fey Presence:
Starting at 1st level, you gain the ability to project the beguiling and fearsome presence of the fey. As an action, you can cause each creature in a 10-foot cube originating from you to make a Wisdom saving throw against your Druid spell save DC. The creatures that fail their saving throws are all charmed or frightened by you (your choice) until the end of your next turn. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
The second thing is, my DM uses point-buy for all characters that her players create. When I was creating Amelia, I had one point left over. Instead of wasting it by putting it into STR of CON (as that would have done me no good) she allowed me to add that one point into my DEX as an additional modifier, which has made my DEX 18 - (15 +1 racial bonus +1 ASI +1 additional modifier).
Other than those two points, my character has been made using the Half Wood Elf (Variant) from SCAG. I wanted her to be proficient in a Shortbow, so I gave up my Skill Versatility, for Elf Weapon Training, which gave her proficiency in shortbows.
What do you guys think? Any alterations that would make the character better?
Do feel free to make suggestions and offer constructive criticisms, because this is just the first draft of her character.
