Tilt Five: Holographic Tabletop Gaming has already passed a goal for success, already has Fantacy Grounds as a partner providing a way to play D&D on it... I just wounder if D&D Beyond has his on they radar. Its really the perfect next step for a platform looking ot add a virtual table top and dice roller. On top of that its lets players play online and in person moving something I only really used fo online games into more of an option for in person games. Looks pretty awsome. I am a backer. I just hope D&D Beyond becomes an option on it. Though I can work with Fantasy grounds if I need to.
Also, if Wizards of the Coast would let them use "Betrayal At House On The Hill" which would also be awesome on this platform, but they lack a forum to mention that on.
The lack of inflection in text means that a reader of any post adds their own inflection as they "verbalize" it in their head. I write long and repetitive in an effort to be clear and avoid my intent from being skewed or inverted. I am also bad at examples. It is common for people to skim my posts pull out the idea they think I mean or want to argue against or focus on my bad example instead of the point I am actually trying to make. I apologies for the confusion my failure to be clear and concise creates.
DDB hasn't even begun development on their virtual game board, so I doubt they'd be looking at this (admittedly cool) system yet. To be honest, a smart move would be to wait until it's clear if the system takes off or not.
Fair, but allowing D&D beyond on it might help it take off creating the opportunity they would be waiting for. Reactive or Pro-active. Fantasy Grounds is being proactive. You are right that D&D Beyond does not have a working virtual table top yet, part of why I bring it up is developing that with this option in mind might influence how they make it preventing them from blocking what could be a great avenue. It might not be the one that takes off but they look to be far ahead of everyone else and moving in the right direction.

My point is that DDB doesn't have anything to 'allow' on Tilt Five. Their virtual game board is far off right now, so it's all moot.
Fantasy grounds already have a VTT, so they've got less headway to make.
I honestly doubt this would be a great avenue, the beta kits are starting at $300 for a small board and one headset. This is pie in the sky stuff and if it does take off, DDB won't have lost any headway by waiting to see if it's a success. They're not a 'competitor' to fantasy grounds currently, so I don't see the merit to rushing (and potentially getting wrong) their own VTT to just try and compete on an unproven platform.
