Yeah I picked them up from volos, Im not sure if it's stats are in ravnica or ebberon, but there is alternate cultural lore to replace standard forgotten realms lore for goblins in those two words.
Last time I checked, goblins were in the basic rules, which you can access by going to the top navigation bar, sources, then basic rules. It has all the basic rules that are free for anyone that has an account.

The monster goblin is in basic rules, the Player race option requires a book or piecemeal purchase

Hi,
I have been trying to figure out how to make a Goblin character using the DDB character creator, but I can't find the Goblin race.
Am I just looking too hard, or do I need to purchase a specific book to get Goblin as a race?

I think if you buy VGtM, GGtR, or ERftLW you will get them. Or they can be bought piecemeal only in VGtM.
