Would brand of castigation damage target 2+ times if the blood hunter is surrounded by several allies and the enemy would decide to use an AoE or any other ability to damage several targets on its turn?

does anyone have a step by step process for creating a homebrew blood curse? i've tried creating a feat that adds a new blood curse that i've thought up, but i'm having some issues with it being listed in the actions tab. Was just wondering if anyone else has tried to homebrew new blood curses and if so how they created them on DNDBeyond
