Ok i know what you get with point buy and standard but i made a decision to role it out so i took 4 d6 and took the 3 highest as my status but what i came up with in my roles i really don't know how to make a good PC with so i want to show my roles and get some idea's if anyone has any.
16 11 12 13 13 12
Not the greatest roles i am well aware of that this is why i am asking for some idea's.
A 16 roll for your main stat isn't bad. After racial bonus you will have an 18 off the bat.
First thing my mind goes to with those rolls is rogue. Lightfoot Halfling and you have an 18 dex and a 14 cha, plenty of proficiencies and two get expertise. That sets you up well for pretty much any subclass except Arcane Trickster.
Really you aren't in a terrible spot, no negatives and a decent main stat.

Well ty for your input it helps i rolled today and what i got is awesome it was made i think for a drow elf assassin and i would only have to take one feat and that would be alart and it's not going to be easy to even touch and with my one poison that i got oil of tagget the one i rolled up today wouldn't have any problems in a fight would you like to see my rolls also i got a blow gun and darts. For the poison.
Those aren’t terrible, I rolled worse for my bard. But like others have said rogue is a good choice. Bard would be good with the Jack of all Trades feature giving you a little bonus to all of your skills. Rogues and bards get a ton of proficiencies. As a half-elf, Human, or Human variant you can turn those 13s into 14s...not too bad
They aren't just "not terrible" they are very good. 15/13/13/12/12/11 would cost 30 points wth point buy and using the often used 12 points for a 16 ability clocks you in at 33.
You might have as high secondary and tertiary stats as others but having no dump stats puts you in very good stead when the enemy tries to expoint your weaknesses or you act as your character really would, "I will search the desk" rather than "I will let the wizard search the desk because I know he is more likely to find a hidden compaertment than me".
With rolls like that if you are wanting the most powerful build you can I would go with a half elf character with a Charisma casting ability.
Bard has been mentioned but Warlock or sorcerer would be very powerful with: Cha=16+2, Dex=13+1, Con=13+1, Wis=12, Int=12, Str=11
Paladin would also work either with the above stats as a str build (a\nd t obe honest I can't imagine paladins in light armor yielding a bow or rapier) you would want to go something like Cha=16+2, Str=13+1, Con=13+1, Wis=12, Dex=12, Int=11 You would probably want to boost your strength at level 4 so you can use plate without the movement penalty but with Cha already at 18 that isn't an issue.
I'd say the stats are fantastic for a Wizard and above average for most other casting classes.
For Wiz, 11 Str, 12 Dex, 13 Con, 16 Int, 13 Wis and 12 Cha. A race such as Rock Gnome (+2 Int, +1 Con) or Hobgoblin (+2 Con, +1 Str) would work very well.
For Sorc and Warlock, it looks pretty identical, just switch the Int and Cha. There are quite a few races with great + Cha racial bonuses. If you were intending a Wild Magic Sorc, though, you'd probably want a race that gives +2 Con.
Cleric and Druid are a little trickier, depending on the subclass, due to their potential melee reliance, but they are still quite doable. Both will stick that 16 into Wis, since it's their casting stat. And most will probably put the 11 in Int, as the stat is largely irrelevant to them. Both would also want one of the 13s in Con for survival purposes. The other would likely go to Dex for use in Medium Armors for AC. That leaves the 12s for Str and Cha. Racial stat bonuses would definitely be a point of contention here, though, to pad some of those lower scores.
Half-elf bard? 18 in charisma, and you can get those to 13's up to 14. With jack of all trades, you will have a good chance at almost ALL ability-checks. I haven't played warlock, but that might also work well.
Everyone is talming casters but if you want ot go martial you still have great stats. The only reason I said half elf charisma caster is you get +4,+2,+2 for your 3 most important stats and if you point buy you can only get that at level 4 (with worse other stats)
If charisma isn't your main stat you are looking at +4, +2, +1 which is still really good for example with any strength based martial class you could go: Mountain Dwarf: 18Str, 15Con 13Dex (at level 4 you can up Con and Dex)
Going Dex based, as others have said rogue is an option, stout halfing and goblin can get you +4 Dex and +2 Con from the start. For a monk a hill dwarf would up your con and wiz giving you the +3 Dex,+2 Wis,+2 Con or you could go goblin monk you will have less con but more dex so you hit harder and kill them quick (dead is a great debuff condition!).
For wis based it depends on what classes are allowed as not many races can get you 18 wis, A firbolg Cleric can get you 18 Wis, 14 Str and 13 Con. Alternatively, especially if you are starting at level 3 you can go someing like hill dwarf to get 17 Wis and 15 Con and up them both at level 4.
Well i have rolled 2 more set's of stats and here is how those rolls went. First set goes like this 15 14 16 18 11 12
And the 2nd rolls went like this 17 17 15 12 12 12
Now i think the 2nd rolls would be great for a caster that was say tefling sorcerer wizard or Warlock the first set of rolls would do better as a fighter or bar roage even maybe Ranger with the right race .
That s what i have been doing other then making handmade mail armor

When in doubt I go half-elf rouge. I'd add the two +1 to those thirteens. The +2 Cha to that twelve.
Str 11, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 12, Wis 14, Cha 14.
I'd add expertise to stealth and perception. Persuasion or deception are also good choices.
It would be fairly balanced.
