So i know this is not 5th edition but like could an campaign where all classes are banned completely and so you must apply templates and hit Dice to an monster until their ECL reaches a certain threshold like 5, 10 or 12 work out? Would such a party be able to handle a module made for their effective class level?
Like most players would end up with fewer hit Dice and thus less health than what is expected of them for their level, Most of their acess to spells and psionics Will come from innate spell like abillities, and would thus probably be a lot easier to keep track of than having to have all these spells and spell slots and stuff, and the players could also enjoy some at-will abillities instead of just having spell slots and psi points that eventiually run out becuase letting you cast cantrips at Will is apparently too strong for this edition, but at the same their highest level spells might be below what is expected for them to have, they might not have the right kinds of spells they are expected to and their daily castings is not really gonna hold up to a caster, i donno i need the better judgement of somebody with experience in this regard
