I am surprised how many people jump in to say that other DnD Beyond users really cannot complain about a feature from the books they paid for that DnD Beyond has not implemented (for years). If it is a feature that player cares about, and they paid for the book that supposedly implements it, then they have a legitimate complaint. The fact that it does not bother you is really irrelevant to the legitimacy of that complaint.
I play my DnD remotely over VTTs these days. This feature is easy to implement on Foundry or Roll 20. So, while I usually use character sheets on DnD Beyond even when playing on Foundry or Roll 20, in the one campaign in which I play an aberrant mind sorcerer (on Roll 20), I simply use the Roll 20 character sheet. I could use the homebrew workaround on DnD Beyond, but why would I bother when, for aberrant mind (and clockwork soul), Roll 20 is just easier/ works better?

Not a single person in this thread has done this. Complain away, we're all in agreement.
The fact that it does not bother you is really irrelevant to the legitimacy of that complaint.
Correct in sentiment but nobody in thread has said they are not bothered. The closest is one person saying it's "not a dealbreaker" which is not the same. Please don't put words in people's mouths, as the saying goes. Only use the words they actually say, not ones you make up in your head. Thank you.
Even if somebody had said "I'm not bothered by this" - they have the right to say such. It does not infringe on you or your complaint and does not diminish your complaint in any way. Nobody is trying to do that.

That's fine for you. Personally, I utterly loathe Roll20's character sheet. So I avoid using it as much as possible. It's a great VTT otherwise but for the actual character sheet stuff, I use D&D Beyond and make use of the Beyond20 extension. Even with the need to make homebrew workarounds, I still vastly prefer the DNDB sheet to Roll20's. But that is me. Everyone is different.

At the time I posted this thread looking for answers, the DNDB team was like 200(?) people max. As a whole. not 200 on the development team, not 200 working on this issue, maximum throughout the company. People forget how small they still are as WOTC still hasn't actually acquired DNDB at the time of this posting (it has been reported that they made a deal, but the actual acquisition is still in progress).
At the time of the original posting, they had also said in multiple streams at that time and since then that they are working on the core of the DNDB system before trying to make system changes like this feature. This feature, while a core feature of the class, is not the core feature of the game, itself. They have stated that BECAUSE there are work-arounds like @Cyb3rM1nd's, it is a lower priority because they want to establish a building block platform that is far more relevant. They have to reinvent the wheel before adding more complexity to the tires.
Should the feature be here? Yes. Is it a dealbreaker? Not to me, and my opinion is that it shouldn't be. Is it annoying to work around on the sheets? Yes. Have the DNDB team been transparent on this and similar topics? YES. Honestly, with the structure of today's businesses and game companies, that's enough, for me.
Most of them won't have weekly Twitch updates where they discuss the happenings and literally tell you exactly what their thought process is and VALIDATE YOUR COMPLAINT while telling youWHY and what direction they are taking to fix it.
We're all waiting for this 'simple' feature. Right now, either homebrew up a solution or don't. I don't understand why it's so hard to comprehend any of these points. And like Cyb3rM1nd said, no one is telling you not to complain or contesting whether or not this is important to you. But I will advise that it's also already been explained. You're wasting your time on this horse.
Just to add to the thread here. As far as I can tell it's still not fixed although the work arounds presented here are very helpful and I will be implementing Cyb3rM1nd's method...Unless someone shows me that it's fixed and how blind I am.
Don’t hold your breath. They are moving to a new edition in 2024 with the site moving to support that edition. I don’t think they will spend time fixing this unless the 2024 versions of sorcerers will all have this type of feature.

I think they lied. Looking at the release schedule, everything has been on mobile and avrae - no updates to the core web app in months!
Jokes aside, the mobile app has much more useful features and content views than the webpage. What's annoying for people without tablets. And the android app isn't on the amazon store so I can't use it on the PC.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but what are DnD playing at?
It's been 18 months plus now. They are happy enough to take the money but not keen to do the actual work implementing this.
Very sloppy shouldered in my opinion.
